what would be your ranking in Brawl and/or Melee and/or SSB64 considering that there are over 7 billion people in the world?

Pretty high in the grand scheme, I presume that the top would pretty much just consist of the Smashboards and AiB population.

Most casuals are hilariously awful so we are already in the top 5-10% lmao.
Actually to expend on this, I think most of everyone on Smashboards/AiB would be in the top 1% easily. This is considering the fact that far less than 1% of the world's population actually plays competitive smash as of now, so even our "bad" smashers would be at the top.

Numbers to qualify Sworddancer's post
1 billion = 1000 million
1% of 1 billion = 10 million
1% of 7 billion = 70 million

Melee sold around 7.09 million copies. In order for 1% of the population to have even played the game before, each copy would need to have generated about 10 unique players.
Brawl sold around 11.49 million (src: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/en/sales/software/wii.html). Still, each game would need to generate about 6 unique players.

Besides, the number of people who have ever played the game before is different from the people who play it competitively.
The Smash scene almost certainly doesn't have more than 1,000,000 players, which would put anyone who plays seriously in the top 1/7000, or roughly .000142857%. Based on the actual size of the scene, we could probably go smaller.

I'm a casual player so I wouldn't get a numerical ranking, I'd just be given the rank 'sub-human scum not worthy of even breathing the same air as a competitive Smasher'.

not sure of how many people play each of the games...

on competitive 64 i would be on the worst 3/4ers (IE: 1 million ppl play, i would probably be 750K-th)
on melee i would probably be in the best quarter
on brawl on the best 1/10th (rank 100k assuming 1million ppl play) of the smashers maybe, who knows

In all honesty, I'm a casual. But I'm a casual who is great at Smash Bros. So, I'd say I'm ranking something like 10,000th. Though that might be generous...
