Idea for tournament entry

i think that the melee (and possibly the smash scene, in general) should start handing out stickers for the admission fee for tourneys. The reason i think this is that you could attach them to your controller to let the people who started the tourney know whether or not you paid for your admission or not, and to let people know how many tourneys you have been too. Eventually the experienced smashers would have collages of stickers on their controllers that would show their experience, and most likely make the controller look cooler. Let me know what you think of this idea.

I'd hate having billions of stickers on my controller, otherwise this would be pretty acceptable, I think a tag of some sort on the players clothing would work better.

I wouldn't do it either. Plus people could pretty easily do nifty slate-of-hand controller handoffs in order to share stickers and cheat the entry fee.
