Ramo
Smash Cadet
So, I've had this idea for a while now, but seeing all of the threads about raising money to send players to EVO got me motivated to write this up.
I'm sure most of you have heard of "Awesome Games Done Quick", a wonderful annual charity event where video game players get together to raise money through speed running games. The event is streamed and people donate money to either have their comment read on stream or to make the gamers do cool or funny things. Most importantly it raises money to fight cancer. If you haven't seen this yet, I would highly recommend it:

My question is: Why doesn't the Smash Bros community do something like this?
We could get all the best players together for a streamed event, people could donate money to see certain players face each other, and maybe if they donate more, they can choose the characters they fight with. Maybe watchers who donate a certain amount get to plan a doubles game or something.
Even if it's not for getting people to EVO, I still think this would be a great way to raise money for a charity.
Let me know what you think!
