Peach fans--myself included--have been waiting and waiting for her character update. We all have no doubts that she will return for Brawl; on the other hand, we all are dying to see her official character model and see what Sakurai has to say about her.

She had latent power in Melee that some feel is a bit too much. Her Standard Special Move degrades my favorite Mario character. Her Side Special Move is an invention for the game. During the interim between Smash games, Super Princess Peach was released, marking the princess's first starring role as THE main character. Said game included her faithful parasol pal, Parry, not to mention her various emotions. All of these facts are things that may or may not play into Brawl. We have thus been awaiting the update to see what changes, if any, Sakurai has made to our favorite Melee character.

(So far, her parasol is much nicer looking. It fits her quite well. I'm just sad that they didn't use Parry).

Maybe something character-related on a friday (like a newcomer or someone who was from before being confirmed) then the rest of the week is items, moves, stages, etc. Not now of course but maybe in a month or two.

Visiting from above.
With Melee, Sakurai released a new character once a week leading up to its release. When the game launched, only five characters had not been revealed (if I'm remembering correctly anyway). It's possible that character updates will become more common the closer we get to release. Because characters are the most exciting part of the game (for most people), that's what people will really want to hear, so that's what Sakurai will want to make sure he keeps a lid on until he's good and ready.
