I did a search, couldnt find anything like this. they are not super developed ideas, but none the less, i like the direction they are headed.
But i had an idea for a new mode of play. it wouldnt be something that would really benefit the 1v1, or even the 2v2 community, but it would be more fun for those of us that love ffas with friends.
It would be a time based mode where the winner is determined through damage delt instead of kills. this would promote actually fighting, instead of going in for a kill steal. this would cause people to get back into the fray faster and just make the game more chaotic and fun. people wouldnt run away and hide as they try and save their lives (stock) and they wouldnt hide untill someone has damage and then run in for a kill steal.
Another possible thought was a stock match limit (say, everyone has 4 lives by default), but the winner is determined by who gets the most kills. obviously, it would still be bad to go out early, cause you wouldnt be alive for all of the possible kills, but this would mean that someone who likes to hide untill its him with 3 or 4 lives vs someone with 1 life. sure, that 1 life player fought a lot more and got maybe 7 or 8 kills on the other 2 players, but they will still lose.
also note: it would be nice if we could set "default" settings on our own so that every time i boot up the game, i dont have to go switch it to stock 4 lives and i could just pick characters and GO!
