TheIceCreamMan's Stock-Up Challenge

~A Little Training Game I Like To Play~Just Wanted To Share It With You~

Set Up:
- Set Stock 2
- No Time
- Set Stage Selection Random
- Remove All Random Stages Except For the One Being Played
- Pick Your Character
- Pick Opponent (Must Be Level 9(should this be changed?))
How It's Played:
- Start The Match With The Set Up From Above
- You Must Defeat Your Opponent Without Losing Any Lives
- After Match, Record Damage Taken As Followed [Stock:percent]
- Once Recorded, Set Stock To 3 And Continue To The Next Match
- If You Die During Any Of The Matches You Must Immediately Exit The Match And Take 1 Stock Off. (Example: you die during a 4-Stock Match, so you now have to play a 3-Stock Match)
- Game Ends After You Exceed 50 Stars Below Your Character On The Character Select Screen or Being Down Stocked Back To A 2-Stock Match

Special Rules:
- Once You Have Lost A Match, you must Add A +? To Your Score Sheet. (? = the amount of times you killed your opponent before death)
- If You Die But Do Not Gain Any Stars, You Get A "By" And May Continue With The Set Stock Match (Example: you die before killing your opponent and exit a 5-Stock Match. You notice you have the same stars as before. You DO NOT change the stock and get another chance at the 4-Stock Match)
- "Bys" AND "+?" Still Get Damage Recorded To Them! Keep Track! (See below Posts For Examples)

NOTE: You Gain Stars By Killing Your Opponent

Please Post Results As Followed!
Your Character Choice Vs Opponent Choice At Stage Choice
[Stock:percent][Stock:percent][Stock:percent][Stock:percent] etc...
Final Score: [Highest Stock Match:Ending Stock Match: Total Damage]

Scoring:
Best Of Each Match Up Will Be Based By First The Highest Stock Match Attained, Then The Ending Stock Match, Then The Total Damage Taken

If I need to fix anything on here or you have any suggestions for it, feel free to let me know :] Let's try to have some fun with training xD haha

This seems fun and all, but doing anything vs level 9s is pretty bad in melee.

CPU aren't good at all, and just kinda... power shield everything and slowly walk up to you sneaking jabs. This doesn't teach you much or is fun to fight 50 times X_X.

If you train off CPU as I did, and still do a bit to keep it up, I'd suggest around level 5.

anddd doing these types of games while you do makes it a little more interesting, I usually just try to make combos last as long as they can, or time myself to kill a cpu 4 stocks under a minute or something.

Good luck training :)

ehhh when its that low of a level the CPU hardly seems to fight back. Which kinda defeats the point of the challenge itself xD But if enough people try it and still say it should be lowered I will gladly do so :]

EDIT: Also, yes around level 5 is a good level to train combos at. I agree with that xD (forgot to add that in there :p)

EDIT2: While I'm at it, let me try a few Stock-Up rounds with the CPU at level 5 to see how much of a difference it makes o.^b just for you lol

EDIT3~: I'm thinking of changing it to 7~ I think this will be more suitable but I still need people's opinions on this if it makes it too easy or changes are needed to the actual game itself etc...

Give it a try guys! :D

Some CPUs are also pretty easy to trick into SDing so you could go on forever and never reach 50 stars against those. Making them SD would actually probably be harder against lower levels too hah.

I don't recommend fighting level 9's to get better. Practice vs level 1's for tech skill/basic combos/edgeguards and that's it. :)

in my head i treat them like they are real humans sometimes. i actually try to approach and stuff so when they hit me, i'm like, what was wrong with my approach.. and they DI weirdly so i can do lots of experimental combos, but they also break out of stuff well too so i can kno what works

it's a weird way to learn, but i don't have a lot of ppl to play with so i force myself to play against level 9's in a way that allows me to learn and experiment situations

i learned the doc matchup this way :D

Yep, that pretty much the entire reason why I made the game right there. Don't really get chances to play with people lol

I'm going to try and record me playing this game later, but we will see how it turns out >.<

Ya that does happen every now and then but that's why we get a good selection of match ups going that won't do that.

Im still not sure if lower levels are the way to go but... I'm thinking of a few ways of trying to get it to work.

ALSO: once it comes down to. "Its to easy to kill them X amount of times without dyeing" thats when it comes to the damage.

Any tips on improving this game? :O
