Yeah, so let's talk about the Ice Climbers, ideas and all.

Here's on of my ideas: You should be able to control which IC you are, meaning you can play as Nana alone if Popo dies first.

I think that desynching needs skill and is not broken, and can be stopped, and it is useful, so I believe it should stay. It is not a glitch, nana has delay, they programmed it that way on purpose. As for wobbling, that will probably be fixed, IF nintendo has heard about it, but if It is not I will learn than use it on noobs, like you said, just for the shook affect.

but yeah, i think the ic's should stay pretty much how they are. i dont particulary like them, but id rather have them be a duo than wasting diddy's potential by putting him with dixie, or having those pichu things...one was bad enough.

we dont even kno if they will keep iceclimbers in general, its kinda pointless to talk about that decisions they will make for characters still unconfirmed. I am a big fan of iceclimbers dont get me wrong (theyr just so unique), and i would hate it if they took them out, but this thread lacks point at this point of the game, mabey later when theyr confirmed.

We don't even know if DK will stay? But I would love to alternate bewtween popo and nana, it'd be great mind games, something like if you press L and R then you change.

They are fast enough with WDing, just make the ice blocks different and make Nana less stupid.

I don't really care about these techniques (or know what half of them even mean). If the Ice Climbers are in Brawl, then I'll play them. But the "advanced" players will still be satisfied because even if these techniques are taken out, the Smash Community will always find some other way of exploiting game glitches.

Oh for God's sake, they BETTER not be in Brawl! Like Sakurai said, some characters for Melee will not be returning in Brawl and I'm praying that IC and G&W will go. The Ice Climbers are just too kiddy...Melee was rated T and Brawl will hopefully be rated T also and if so, I don't think Ice Climbers are gonna appeal to most teens.

on that subject, why the heck was melee rated T? looked like an E game to me. i think IC will come back, they were an interestiing char (or two chars, whatever).on desyncing, who knows? i dont think they ment to put that in melee, though.

Wobbling is essentially an infinite grab. So you can literally do a 0 to 999% grab easily.

As for Smash's rating I'm guessing will see an E10+ and if E10 was out back then that's what melee what have been.

i just think that if one climber dies you should take control of the other. that may be just a little unfair because that gives you, basically, twice as many lives, but w/e

the forward b makes up for this. it has the highest verticle recovery(when both climbers are together) in the game when done correctly

Why do people want the original character to come out and they want the lame characters like Marth and Sheik to stay? ICs were probably the most unique character(s) in the game. booo broken characters. yaaayy fun/unique characters. Long live the ICs!

Dumb. Most people here are teens up through their mid-20's. There are PLENTY of ICs players.

First, learn to type so it's readable.

Umm...if by "bad" you mean incredibly awesome. Don't you realize that ICs were banned from low tier tournaments? They were right up there with Falcon and Doc and whatnot as far as abilities.

The only reason people think they will/want them to be out is because they were from an in significant series in the '80s, and this isn't a reason a lot. Just look at Pit!

The "Pikmin astronauts" are Ct. Olimar and Louie, and that is actually a fantastic idea! (Olimar, not Louie) And, I seriously doubt they are going to be a duo; that would be completely pointless. Olimar would be plenty unique enough just by himself with his Pikmin. He would be an amazing character.

Brawl needs more interesting and unique characters, not more sword wielders and lamers like Sheik. There's no reason to cut those we have. (And fyi for everyone...the reason Balloon Fighter wasn't in Melee was because they wanted to spend the time in the ICs because they would be more interesting and unique. So there!)

No. Just...no. Ice Climbers CANNOT be taken out.
Though this is only speaking through opinion, the IC can be extremely great characters. What reason do they have to take them out? What justice would it do for the people that use them regularly (like me)?

Honestly, the only character that deserves to be removed is Dr. Mario, for being an almost complete clone of Mario. Pichu might need to go as well.

I hope the Ice Climbers get a bad-*** Pit-esque update.
Also, they need more traction. They freaking wear cleats! Shoes that are specifically designed to PREVENT sliding! I don't care what that change would do to IC players, just that the lack of logic hurts my brain.
Lastly, they need to remain the only pair.

I don't play IC, and don't really know much about them, so that's all I have to say.

As long as they come back I'd be plenty happy to learn to play them well. (Ha, watch them be the Top Tier in Brawl, that'd be really funny)

I just think that along with a big visual update, there isn't much I care if they change outside of desynch possibilities. The Blizzard Grab combo's are just fun and they even look cool, I really want that to stay

About dsyncing I beilve it was suppose to be in. Just put a level 9 IC against a level 1 Falco and watch what happens.

P.S. Why are the words "Ice Climbers" appearing as yellow? Is it because the Ice Climbers are that cool?

I hate IC (yeah, I'm asking for trouble), and hopefully they will be taken out. Their Smash attacks are too good, but if they become a bit more balanced then I probably wouldn't hate them as much.

The only reason I could see the IC pair getting kicked off the list is because of obscurity. But that's about it.

Frankly, I wouldn't mind if they stayed or if they went. They do make crazy level 9 characters to fight against. So, I think they're awesome for practicing, if nothing else.

At least they're original. Got to give them that as well.

I love IC they were the first ones i played on melee when i first got it. I have nothing against them and find them fun to play as. So i hope they return
