hi
I cant get over how everyway he gets back to the stage is laggy.(Green missle and now his up+B)
I would use Weegee tornado, but I cant button mash fast enough to get high enough in the air to recover.

Anyway to get around this?

I'd love to use the green machine because of how good he is.:)

Well his forward B can sweet spot the ledge so u dont have to worry about lag. That might help

The Tornado is probably essential to his recovery.

If you're mashing B really fast, but you're falling down, it won't work. Luigi's Tornado is also momentum based, so you need to use the Tornado as you use your second jump.

Work on that and it should be fine :/ THat's usualyl the problem when people try to Nado up. If it's not, button mash more. And practice.

WIth that, let's hope you become a Luigi Main too :]

I tried aiming at the ledge once, but I hit it too low and I got stuck in the wall at Halberd >__<

@SparkED,so I push the B button when using the tornado,in a rhythm?
Like with DK's final smash?

Wishing Apex 2012 happened again.
Spark just reped this thread lulz. If you want to sweetspot the ledge with the green missle, just aim and charge and makesure his head is slightly below from the edge that way you'll sweetspot it. As for the tornado try jumping and quickly bashing downb for the rising tornado.

We hope you become a Luigi main and contributive one in the future x]

We should really make a thread on that rising tornado thing now lol.

Just keep on hitting B as much as you can.

I don't see what's so hard about it. Maybe you keep holding it? Don't do that.

@Hippie:I'm getting one up sometime this week.

its less about mashing as it is about timing. The old tornado had everything to do with superfast b smashing, now, as long as you tap b regularly after a jump you'll do just fine. Just make sure you're moving up as the move begins, that way your downb will keep you moving up. Remember tornado keeps your momentum moving, it doesn't necessarily turn your momentum to upwards mo.

Uh, actually it is still about superfast button mashing. Using the tornado while you have your upwards momentum after a jump is pretty easy, but when using it to recover and you have no jump left and you're falling, you have to have really fast fingers to make it work or you're just going to stall in the air for a couple seconds and fall.

Remember tornado keeps your momentum moving, it doesn't necessarily turn your momentum to upwards mo.
Wrong, the faster you press B the more you'll rise. Momentum IS a factor in it, but you can cancel out downward momentum and still get lift with enough b presses.

i also had trouble with the rising tornado before, i could never pull it off in melee but now in brawl its not so much button mashing as its timing like cr4sh said you have to know when to use it otherwise you will tornado to your doom. You jump and imideatly do the tornado, like a milli second after you jump do the tornado , you dont have to button mash it like when you bench press on No More Heroes, or like when you are working out in GTA San Andreas

In melee the tornado was about godly button mashing cr00mz, i could never get that to work @_@.

The easiest way to get vertical air is to start your downb while you are still ascending to the height of your jump. In other words, before luigi reaches the top of his jump, start downb and mash.

on the topic of the tornado, a shorthopped tornado moves less than one done off the ground. I typically only use them for mindgames but i find it also practical to cancel out an opponents move (usually projectile) while holding my ground.
