I would freakin' buy a Wii for 4-on-4 Interweb brawls

I guess it would be too big for some stages, but still 4-on-4 brawls over the Internet would be awesome. Now please tell me how I suck and my idea sucks.

Also, 64-man tourneys on the Internet. No more waiting 20 minutes because NO WAIT I WANT TO BE A BLUE FALCO NOT A GREEN FALCO AND I WANT TO CHANGE MY NAME FOR THE 27TH TIME! WHOOPS I HIT B BY ACCIDENT!

8 player battles would certainly put the brawl in SSBB. It might even work on specially designed levels and a camera that focuses on each player individually.

4v4 screams lagg, especially with nintendo's network. I do hope however they have some tournament play. Something like a Battle.Net Ladder would be good.

8 players would be way too chaotic, and it would probably cause too much lag. Even if they had the option, I still wouldn't want to go higher than 4.

mako if they had something like the battle.net ladder then real tournament play would be lower and thus would hurt the game over all.

Not factoring in lag...

It would be epic and awesome, hits flying in not knowing where it even comes from. More on the aspect of fun and being able to see everything happening around you.

I don't expect it to happen I am pretty much 100% sure it won't happen. But it would be pretty awesome at times.

Too chaotic? You people are crazy. Everything about SSB screams chaotic. Pikachu fighting Mario with laser guns and lightsabers on a spaceship isn't chatoic? By no means would I want to tourney with this, but it would be fun if there weren't massive amounts of lag.

omfg we need some 15v1 sh*t

nah, i think that 6 characters is the absolute maximum that you could have on screen without it getting just plain ridiculous. I don't think we need more than 4, that's just too many. Also, 1v1 is TOO FEW.

f*cking tournements

People blame tournaments for everything -_-

Fail

Anyways, good Idea, without the lag it would be quite fun, and something to do between practicing tech skills.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again:

8 players in a match would be ********.

I really don't think I have to explain this, but then again...

I'll just assume people are logical - for now.

It would be fun because it would be ********. Almost like... a fighting game about Nintendo characters ********.

Hmm, then I guess only lunatics and madmen would enjoy it.

All joking aside, I think that even for enjoying chaos it would be way too chaotic. Because in a 4 player match you can co-ordinate yourself and do proper moves at least SOME of the time.

In an 8-player match I doubt anyone would even know what's going on, and you'd just sit there mashing buttons in some sad, unachievable hope that you might win without making a ****-head out of yourself and your character.

I'm thinking too hard about this already.

Rawr. I even hate playing with 4 people...8 people would just make me angrier than ever.
1-3 people is my kind of game =] .

I hate 3-people games. 90% of the game someone's teamed up on or hiding on the other side of the map waiting to strike. I used to know a Samus who would just run to the other side of the map and spam super missle in FFA if you ever let him run off.

You know, technically they can do 4v4 on just one Wii. It's called 4 people use GameCube controllers and 4 people use the classic controller.

I made a thread discussing this a while back, almost exactly like this thread. I'm still all for the idea, just to mess around with it a few times for fun. 1v1 is totally where it's at, though.

Not only is this possible, but entirely plausible, and also a great way to sell this game to people who've never played before(there are people who've never played before?!?!?)

It makes this game look more appealing from the outside cover.

Also, it doesn't seem that hard to do.

Dude, I would explode with excitement for 4v4 matches. It would probably be too crazy for "serious" matches, but as far as fun goes, I think it would be hilarious.

I don't think it's in the cards, though.

8 Player Brawl would be good if they can find a way around the potential lagging and confusion that would happen in small stages.
