I want to get into Smash!

Hi! I have decided to get into Smash (probably Melee) after watching the Invitational and some other tournaments. I've played the games casually before so I have some experience. Are there any good guides I can read/watch about some of the complex mechanics behind the smash games? I was also looking at getting a GC PC adapter and a gamecube controller off ebay to start.

I hope I can get to know you all, this seems like an awesome community :D
