I use smash missiles

Stand on the ground and spam them wes style.

Anyway, I've been playing with sonic, but I am just to familiar with samus and I know I'm better with samus then sonic, so I can't make the switch for now. I think I got a pretty decent playstyle, hylian, have you been playing people online? I'll have to play you sometime then.

Smash missiles are pretty sweet, I love how the look like the Super Missiles from Metroid games. You can missile cancel them too, you just have to smash missile near the peak of your short hop.

I juse use a homing on top and then a smash on the bottom, and in some cases just both smash. Homing are great if you are in certain situations though

Honestly, I think smash missiles are still quite useful. If you're facing a character that's normal/high height (i.e. anything taller than, say, G&W), you can still land missile canceled Super Missiles, and missile canceling SM's is much faster now than Samus's short hop is lower.
