I apologize if this has been brought up before.
Smashfests are truly what give you experience the fastest, I think, against other people. In tournaments, you enter, get some warm up friendlies, play your matches, lose (or maybe win), go home, and go to sleep. Smashfests, you get matches, matches, a little more matches, leave, eat Chinese food and go to sleep. Just a thought.
Also, it'd be nice if in the topic title for tournaments CLARIFIED which state they're in. Some do, some don't. It needs to stop. >_> I shouldn't have to click on the title only to find out the tournament takes place in some useless state like Kansas.
