I need to know what Punishment is!

Im not looking for punishment myself. Im talking about the pokemon move "punishment." I looked it up on serebii but all it says is... Power depends on foe's stat....
Its not specific enough. Does it mean that Punshiment does more damage when a weak stat poke fights a better stat poke. Or does the stronger poke have more use for it?
Im also curious above how much damage it would do if sunkern used punishment on arceus. Or vice versa. Sunkern = worst stat pokemon. Arceus = best.

It's a 60 Base Power move that increases in power for every stat boost your opponent has.

So it will be stronger if the opponent used moves such as swords dance or calm mind.

Actual stats have nothing to do with it.

It's a move to take out sweepers and Baton Passers since they're the main ones who raise their stats.

Oh, it doesnt sound so useful anymore. Most baton passer teams use sub and speed boost. And sweepers could take a pokemon with judgement out in 1 hit. Except, maybe if it's Arceus.

Well one use is to beat Calm Minders. IRC Weavlie using Punishment OHKOs Slowbro if it has 2 Calm Minds, and OHKOs Suicune if it has 4.
