I need some help with a current project.

I am going to try to go a bit above and beyond with this one. Namely editing Fox's FitMotionetc.pac and a bit of his FitFox.Pac

I want to take a sword from someone, be it an Assist Trophy or character, and give it to Fox. Not only that, I also want to do at least one or more custom animations for this one.

So, I need some tips on the following.

1. How do I place a sword in Fox's hands, and make it stay there?
2. How do I import animations from other characters?
3. How do I make a custom animation?

Please note the following before you answer:

- Youtube is practically useless here at home or at school for that matter. The Wii rarely plays videos on Opera, and the computer I am typing on doesn't work with youtube anymore. So video tutorial links are not going to help very much.

- I learn visually and by example, which proves to be detrimental because of the above. I am also very detail-oriented, and I might not be able to understand vague details immediately.

- Like I was to Texture Hacking (I am getting better), Model Importing, Animation importing, and Custom Animation are new frontiers for me. So don't be surprised if I ask alot of questions in regards to what you're answering.

1.if fox's gun is a separate model from him replace it with a sword and animate the gun to be in his hands on every animation
2.open the character's motion file and find the animation you want and right-click and hit export
3.Edit the rotations and translations from a bone in the model previewer

1. Fox actually has his Blaster as a separate model, but the problem is, parts of the Blaster are on his main model, namely in his holster. So would that impede what I am trying to do? Also...How do I export the sword? (I.E. I am using Gray Fox's Katana)

2. Thank you. I think I will test by borrowing a few from Link, Ike, and Meta-Knight if possible.

3. Um, I don't know about that. Would that be done in the Motion file, or the FitFox.Pac? If the latter, then that is a problem.

I think I will get to work on this as soon as I am done with the texturing.
