Walking is a very safe method of approach since it gives you a lot of options, you can use your Ftilt or jab while walking to parry projectiles, you can shield easily, you can crouch, and you will have access to all your tilts.

I also find SH Fairs to be a good method of approach, you can air dodge right after your Fair if you want to play it safe.

I didnt know his back air has more knockback. So I guess its better to edge guard facing away from the opponent as you can spike and knock an opponent out easier.

lol bair is what marth uses to ko noobs that are trying to recover
bair = god tier slash
i dont like spamming fair even though i have to sometimes because i hate spamming the same moves
tall guys like ike can be well approached by using nair but shorties u are forced to fair
neutral b is the best technique if u want to make the other guy's defence useless because they will be too scared to shield which is paradise for a marth
also when u want to spike, the easiest way is by hitting it backwards

Hey Doodx:). How ur online working for ya? Anyway, just because someone "can" meteor cancel a dair doesn't mean they will. A dair at about 40% sends your opponent on a dunk of no return.
hmm is marths dair a meteor or a spike because if it is a spike then it is a MUST USE!
if it is a meteor then it is a must use lol
i played with someone from texas and it was laggy as hell but that was not from my connection and it was from a wireless but mine is wired so i guess mine is better than that time

They are generally the same thing in Brawl since to my knowledge, all MS's/Spikes can be Meteor Canceled.

Spike used to be the term given to a MS that couldn't be Meteor Caceled.

When you are meteor smashed you must wait some time before u can react with a jump or up b. With meteor cancel it's possible to react in halve the original time.
Meteor smashes can be meteor cancelled and spikes can't.

Any tips on spiking with Marth's Dair? I was trying it out on battlefield and after the move ended I always found myself too low to recover (with up-B). I'm thinking this is because when you press Down for dair you start fast-falling?

In order to spike with the Dair, you need to hit with the tip. To avoid the fast fall, you can do one of three things.

1) Hold down while leaping off the edge then time the attack.

2) Dair while jumping/double jumping.

3) Footstool off their head and immediately Dair.

For some Marth tips in general, refer to here.

Like he said, use these, and u should be fine, oh and about dair, it's christened the "wtf?"slash, due to the nice, unorthodox pose marth uses to slash teh noob dead.

P.S. any1 who lyks ded Bay-b jokes, leve a gewfy smylee.

i just do a midair jump and dair at the same time when they are falling behind me, so that u wont fall fast, u dont need to footstool them all the time, just when you are sure you'll hit him, and try footstooling when the opponent uses the midair jump

not sure if wat i said helps.
