I need help...

...About half my deaths are from accidentally pressing the wrong button. For example, when recovering with ROB I sometimes press side-b instead of up-b.

Yeah, I need help. Thanks in advance.

My friend actually had the same problem when i was teaching him to play. Most new people I see use the tip of their thumb to move the control stick which seems to slip and cause wrong actions in newer players. Try using the inside of your thumb instead of the top, that helped them out at least, worth a shot right? haha

This woulden't help much, but just try to not make your hand slip on the control stick so it will turn right or left. and try not to make the control stick tilt and make R.O.B to the gyro spin. just be careful on that controller! Hope i helped.

I already use the inside of my thumb lol. I'm not a new player at all. I've been playing competitively for a while now. And I don't main/second/use very often ROB, that was just the best example I could think of at the time.

Guess I just need to be more careful then >.<

Now that I think about it, there's not much to say about this. Can be closed I guess.

all of my n00b friends (by that I mean those who haven't been playing for nearly as long as I have or don't get to play that often) make the exact same mistakes, especially when recovering. Don't worry, there's nothing wrong with you. ;)

What I normally tell them, is like, when trying to use Side B to recover (my friend uses falco and always ends up shooting his laser instead and then falling to his death by spamming B in a desperate attempt to recover) is to, instead of trying to press both side and b at the same time, make sure you press side first. That way you can't fail. :p same thing with all of the other B's and A's.

Well different people have different habits some are more damaging to ones game but they all can be broken in the same way. I would reccomend playing level 3-5 computers and taking the game as slow as possible.
