I need help with my UU team.

I've only been battling for like a month or so, and I decided that I wanted to try UU. I made this team a while ago, and it was pretty successful at first. However, now I'm having some issues with it, especially in the departments of Registeel and Chansey. Sometimes I can manage them, but I have no definite answer.

Alakazam @ Focus Sash
Inner Focus/Timid
252 Spe/252 SpA/4 HP
Rain Dance/Encore/Psychic/Signal Beam

I originally had Omastar here, but Writer told me to try Alakazam and he's been more reliable to set up rain imo, but lacks the entry hazards of Omastar.

Ludicolo @ Life Orb
Swift Swim/Modest
196 Spe/252 SpA/60 HP
Surf/Energy Ball/Ice Beam/Rain Dance

Ludicolo is basically here to help me kill stuff. STAB Surf in the rain is pretty helpful, and Energy Ball and Ice Beam help with coverage. He also has Rain Dance in case I need it again.

Kabutops @ Life Orb
Swift Swim/Adamant
252 Atk/184 Spe/72 HP
Swords Dance/Aqua Jet/Waterfall/Stone Edge

Kabutops can kill pretty well with SE and Waterfall, and if he get Swords up, then he can kill a lot of things that I've seen in UU. Aqua Jet is pretty much the only priority move on this team, and it's proven to be pretty helpful.

Slowbro @ Leftovers
Own Tempo/Bold
252 HP/252 Def/4 SpD
Slack Off/Surf/Thunder Wave/Psychic

Slowbro helps me slightly with stall, but he isn't amazing. Thunder Wave is obviously for slowing the opponent down and hoping for hax, and Surf and Psychic are for when he needs to attack.

Swellow @ Toxic Orb
Guts/Jolly
252 Atk/252 Spe/4 SpD
Facade/Brave Bird/U-Turn/Protect

The basic Sweeper Swellow. Sometimes I want to put Quick Attack in over Protect or U-Turn, but those are too important imo. He's on here as a back up, in case they get through the rain portion of the team.

Blaziken @ Life Orb
Blaze/Rash
252 Spe/252 SpA/4 HP
Fire Blast/Superpower/HP Electric/Vacuum Wave

This is my Mixed Priority Blaziken, who I changed based on reccomendations. He's helped my team pretty well thusfar.

So as you can see, this team has quite a few holes. I'm open to any suggestions you guys might have, and hopefully it'll help me become better at UU.

I suggest mixed blaziken over altaria. Blaziken is a great stallbreaker from what I've seen and altaria seems to be the most useless member.

you don't need roar when you're not trying to stall, your altaria seems useless, you have heal bell with swellow, a poke who wants to be statused
blaziken is an awesome wall breaker in UU, so either make altaria an offensive DD set or change it to blaziken

also, change swellow's item to burn orb, it won't die as quickly as it does with toxic orb (since it's not going to be switching out as much due to the presence of SR)

I know enough not to unstatus my Swellow, and yeah, after I learned the Guts doesn't get the burn attack reduction I thought I should change Toxic Orb to Flame Orb. And I never really considered Blaziken, I'll have to try him out.

Edit: Which mixed set would you reccomend? Smogon has three.

hmmmm....he has a lot of options that he can use

i used a choice scarf set in OU that worked alright but it wasn't mixed

i'd say try the priority mixed set

Facade and Brave Bird give basically the same coverage. I like Quick Attack, personally.

Flame Orb vs Toxic Orb is a tough call. I used a Guts Hariyama with both Flame and Toxic and my conclusion was basically this:

If it's only going to be out for a few turns at a time (as a lead/revenge killer/whatever), use Toxic Orb.

If it's going to be out for several turns at a time (sweeping/stalling/setting something up), use Flame Orb.

Yeah, Swellow is mostly used for sweeping so I switched over to Flame Orb. In the battles I've done, he basically doesn't die without taking out 2+ people.

Well this team is pretty glued down. Milotic would enjoy the Rain support should you even choose to use her anywhere. Life Orb Milotic is win.

Well, since your Swellow has U-Turn, you might want Toxic Orb.

How about this: play ten matches normally, and save the logs. Find out which orb is best.

I've already done quite a few battles with Flame Orb on, and I decided that I liked it more than Toxic Orb. I might change U-Turn because I don't really use it all that much. Should I change that to Quick Attack? Or just keep it?

Basically what Tery said. If you've found that you're keeping it out for 3 or more turns though, Blaze Orb would be better.

And priority is always good so Quick Attack might help you.

Blaziken is working out pretty good. I've already made two people rage quit when they saw it had Vacuum Wave, it's pretty funny.
