well i made some items and there really old. Made them when brawl was announced. Here they are. Also please tell me if there good or bad

Rolling bomb: When thrown it starts to roll around in counter clockwise motion and changes periodically (rolling changes will be triggered by the character who layed the mine uses a smash attack. If the character loses a stock the mine will spin 5 times as fast and its damage will multiply by 2. Regulary it will inflict 20% damage and have a 2ft knockback for every 10% percent damage the person who is hit has. This weapon drops at a uncommon rate.

Bullet bill launcher: Place it on the ground and whenever someone is horizontal the launcher it shoots and if it hits it deals 10% damage and light knockback. This does not include person who placed it

Regular Bullet bill: Once you pick it up it carries you to the other side of the platform you are standing on and if it hits someone it deals 20% damage and heavy knock back

Yellow shell: Once you pick it up you ride the shell like in Super Mario 64 and if you hit someone you deal 15% damage and light knockback. Lasts for ten seconds and lowers traction by 50 %

Blue spiked shell: If you throw it it will launch itself at the winning player and deal 25% to 50% damage and heavy knockback. If the winning player throws it it will hit them.

Pebble: If you use it a pebble will fall from the sky and deal 1% through 50% damage and very little knockback.

Character Emblem: A characters emblem will appear and if you get it, a character who uses that emblem will come to help you in battle for 30 seconds or until it takes 50% damage . If there are 4 nesses(Ness is being used for an example) playing then a player picks up nesses emblem a ness that looks like the ness who picked it up will come and fight.

Substitute doll: If this is picked up a replica of the character who used it will appear and run around attacking people but it will not deal damage and if it gets hit it turns back into a doll.

Pirahna plant: The item looks like a seed and when you throw it where it lands a pirahna plant will appear and will attack for 20% damage and moderate knockback. It attacks whoever comes close to it and it cant move. Ice flower: It is exactly like a fire flower except it can freeze you.

Chain chomp: Once picked up the character who uses it will grab onto the chain and the closest player is attacked by the Chain Chomp. It deals 15% to 30% damage and heavy knock back. It lasts 15 seconds or until it hits a player.

Bombchu. It is like a bombomb but it doesnt blow up after a certain time. It blows up after it hits something. It can climb up and down walls to.

Power bracelet: Multiplys the power of your character by two and lasts for 30 seconds or until you die

Ice arrow: Throwing item that deals 20% and light knockback. Also has a chance of freezing

Light arrow Throwing item that deals 30% damage and heavy knockback

Bomb arrow: Throwing item that deals 35% damage with moderate knockback and has a very big explosion

Fire arrow: Throwing item that deals 20% damage and deals 1% damage for ten seconds every second. ( This is different from young links b move)

Iron boots: Makes you as heavy as two bowsers and makes you slower and makes you jump lower.

The flying boots from the orcania of time: Makes you jump higher, lets you float on air for half a second, lowers traction, and makes you heavier

Bubble: Throwing item that traps you in a bubble for 3 seconds. Wing cap: It allows for 1 more jump until you die

Boo: When used your player turns invisable and stops moving. You then take control of a boo and can attack people. This lasts until you press b,your player is hit, or once the boo takes 50%
Misdreavous (comes out of pokeball): uses plain split on every player on the field.

Amazing mirror: Flips the platforms around for 3 seconds but doesnt move players . example

Teleport orb: If it hits someone it will teleport them with another player.

Mirror shield: Makes your shield reflect like foxs but doesnt deal damage.

Coin block: Shoots out coins that deal 1% and extremely heavy knockback

Vaccum from luigis mansion: Sucks players toward the vaccum and traps them if they touch dealing 30%. After being sucked in they will get spit out. 1% chance of shooting fire, ice, lighning, or releasing a herd of boos that deal 100%

.Jump boots: Lets you deal damage by jumping on people. 10% per jump lasts 30 seconds

Master ball: can trap People inside that it hits. People are trapped for 5 seconds. The ball can be thrown while people are inside

Stylus: like a beam sword but has a longer reach, more powerful, and slower

Big gorons sword: Like stylus but has a longer reach more powerful and slower

smoke gernade: Makes a cloud of smoke appear and nothing can be seen throught it

Sticky gernade: act like a bombomb but sticks wherever it hit first

Lightning bolt: Shrinks all enemy players on the field

FOUR SWORDS: splits your character into four different copys all who attack for 15 seconds and then disappear leaving you with the original all the one that are remaining add their damage together and divide by four. So it is a bad thing to kill a copy

Fire seed: Throw it and whatever platform it lands on it catches on fire and for every second your on you take 10% with no knockback. lasts 30 seconds. It can hurt the player who used it. So no using on final destination

Ice seed: Causes the platform that it lands on to become icy and who ever was on it to become frozen when it is icy traction lowers by 200%. Last 30 seconds. Frozen characters thaw after 5 seconds

twilight symbol: causes player to be transformed into a animal making their stats doubled except they have one jump and are very light. Yoshi would turn into a dinosaur

Water bottle: when used it will fill the arena with water for 15 seconds. it will be like you player is flying. You can get hit by fish who do 5% each

The guns ( dont know their names ) from metroid prime hunters could be used and each would use their specific characteristics. Like the snipe gun takes a while to shoot but has alot of power. The ice gun could freeze you

1 up shroom: if you pick up a mushroom there is a rare chance it will give you another life in stock or get rid of the last kill that wasnt yours in time
Time portal: It is an item that you place on the ground and if anyone goes through it there stats are decreased to one and they look like babys. The portal stands for 30 seconds and the baby effect stays for 15 seconds.

Moon: decreases the gravity depending on what phase of the moon the item is on. for a quarter moon it would divide by two, half 4, 3/4 6, and full 8

arrow pointing left: it decreases the speed of the game so it is divided by 2 lasts for 30 seconds

arrow pointing right: it increases the speed of the game so it is multiplied by 2 lasts for 30 seconds

The parasol from the original paper mario that peach used in the castle to copy peoples looks: When used it shoots a beam and if the beam hits someone their identity is in the parasol. If you press a after that you will look and you'se the same moves as that character but if you press b and hit someone they will turn into that character. If it misses there is no identity in the parasol. If you press z with the parsol empty it will gain your identity

pillow: Throw and if it hits someone they will take 10% and will fall asleep. They stay asleep for 20 seconds and will wake up if hit

Sandbag: It is a throwable item that whereever it lands it becomes sandbag and he is unbreakable shield that takes damage and knockback and can only be knocked off

Glue gun: shoots and stops players from moving from their spot for 5 seconds but they can still use attacks

exacibur (metaknights version): Like big gorons sword but really fast

Rocket: When used it launches into the air and lands in a random spot causeing 10 - 25% and light knockback with a moderate explosion

Star spirit cards (these are all individual items)

Eldstar: Gives you a 10% healing and a increase to power for 30 seconds

Mamar: Causes all players on the field to go to sleep for 10 seconds and arent wakened by attacks

Skolar: Makes a shower of stars come down for 5 seconds each causing moderate knockback and 7%

Muskular:Causes all enemy players to lose one point in each stat for 15 seconds Misstar: Heals you and allies of all damage

Klevar: I foreget what he does so if anyone can tell me i will make a use for him

Kalmer: Gives you 3 concecutive stars in a row (overpowered but coudnt think of anything that wasnt for him)

Electiric fan: Placeable item that pushes back players really quickly. It last for 20 seconds and can broken after a few hits. It also has the ability to push items and progectiles back

Klevar: Freezes all player individually with a 50 percent chance of not freezing. Freezing lasts for 30 seconds and freezing can be broken after 5 hits.

Goombario Multiple headbonk: bounces on an enemy for 5 seconds stopping and doing 5 damage each jump to the player. He does 5 jumps in total

Koopar Fire shell: He acts like a red shell but faster and more powerful with a 25 % chance of causing burn damage

Bombette Big boom: She walks up to an enemy and explodes for 20% and heavy knockback

Parakarry Shell shot: He will shoot directly at a player for 30% and heavy knockback with a 25 percent chance of missing

Lady bow fan slap: She floats up to an enemy and repeatedly slaps them 5 times each one 1% more powerful than the other starting at 3 % Causing 25% and does an accumulated knockback of regular moderates

Tippi: makes a small circle on the screen visible while the rest of the screen turns black. During this time all the action is still going on. The circle will travel around the screen and last 5 seconds.

Thoreau: lets the character using him pick up enemies. When used he is thrown across the stage grabbing the first thing he comes in contact with. When pulling stuff back he can hit stuff in the way. The character then grabs the thing like they would usually grab it.

Boomer: he’s a bomb bomb that doesn’t move. He does double damage and has twice the blast radius. He will only blow up after 5 seconds or the player presses the attack button

Thudely: when grabbed the character automatically does a ground pound dealing 20% damage to everything on that platform. No knockback is done.

Carrie: When grabbed she will go under the character and allow the character to move off the platform and float in the sky. Will last until the character is hit by a smash or 15 seconds.

Cudge: He has the same power and speed as the hammer but you will not be weighed down by him.

Dottie: she shrinks the character by 5 sizes but the character is lighter.

SPOILERS

Barry: He powers up the shield with reflecting and has it damage the opponent if they touch the shield.

Picillo: He makes everyone but the person who used him go to sleep

Dashell. Makes you move three times as fast

Holy crap thats a long post. You should draw pictures of the items though, cause I seriously doubt many people will accually read this.

i agree but as for the plasma grenade that is replaced by the gooey bomb.

Yay for the "Icy Seed"?

That's kind of how Freezies worked in Mario Bros., though, isn't it? They'd freeze the platforms...

Obviously there are WAYYYYYY too many items here for them to be implemented, but I liekd some of them. The blue shell and lightning bolt are good ideas (and about the only Mario Kart items that AREN'T in Smash Bros yet), and I really like the power bracelet idea.

EDIT: The 1up mushroom is also a good idea. I had a similar idea, except in time (or any non-stock) matches, I'd just have it count as +1 to your score. I think that's different from what you suggested. I do wonder if that item will be just completely broken though. They might have to do something like give them a chance to be poison mushrooms instead. That way there would be a bit of risk involved in getting one.

These are all really good.

I have an idea for biggoron's sword though. How about, instead of making it slower than the stylus, you can't use your sheild while holding it just like in Ocarina of Time.

Also, glad to see another Paper Mario fan. Actually, all the items you listed are from games I love!

While definitely an intriguing concept, I don't see this being that useful of an item(does it change directions if it reaches the end of a pad?) Balance is another issue, theoretically, if you get killed at 200%, it will do 800% to whoever it hits if I read that correctly(the 20% isn't finite, is it? and even if it is, I don't know the ratio, but 40ft of knock back seems light)

I really like this idea, it may be one of the best you had, no complaints.

Interesting possibility, what if you use z to grab it in mid-air? Another small issue I see is that if it is only on the platform in which you are standing, what if it is the top one(like on battlefield). I would rather see the launcher than this.

Another idea I like. I think the damage should be caused by contacting the shell itself, otherwise I see it being too hard to dodge. A cool effect would be to have the character dizzy when they get off(or get knocked off).

50% damage from a pebble seems excessive. Maybe if it was like the end of Yoshi's Island, but that doesn't really work.

Sounds like an assist trophy if you ask me.

Have you played Zelda: A Link to the Past? I could see this being used more efficiently not as a replica that doesn't damage you, but what about the guys that mimic your actions? You walk left, he walks right, people wouldn't know which one was the real one, both would do damage, imagine this, either fighting two people at once, or having both attacking the same person, it could be very strategic.

Pirahna plant: The item looks like a seed and when you throw it where it lands a pirahna plant will appear and will attack for 20% damage and moderate knockback. It attacks whoever comes close to it and it cant move.
I like it, lots of potential, I think they should be like in SMB 3, and have them shoot the things out so they aren't entirely useless at a range.

As long as there was a similar one that decreased your power, I wouldn't have a problem, otherwise, I think it would be too good.

I don't really like the idea of so many arrows, maybe one, though I don't think it would be too great, the fire is the best of the four imo, but I doubt it would be a very good item.

Don't remember what plain split was, but I think misdreavous had the thing that killed something in three turns or something... or am I totally wrong?

I really don't get what this is trying to say, so essentially the entire level switches around horizontally? Most levels are the symmetrical, so I don't think it would be that great, and three seconds isn't enough time. I don't see this as being feasible simply because of the fact that it would have to take time to switch which would interrupt the fight more than anything.

I like it, a great way to cause chaos. i would love to see the Twilight realm effect used to initiate the switch(the red and blue thingies and the black particles would make it awesome.

I think it should do damage, and like it. If it reflects without doing damage, what exactly was the point of it reflecting?

Decent idea, I think less recoil, and it should instead sort of draw the player in to cause more damage.

Outside of the boos, I really like that idea. The ghosts couldn't get out once they were in, so I don't think they should here either.

No. No no no. No throwing, maybe if it simply trapped them for a couple seconds, but throw = way too easy kills.

I like it a lot, that's a nice effect. One thing to consider... in Kart, the user doesn't shrink, what do you think of it staying in that tradition?

I think that just gets way too confusing, and what would they do? I think it would be much too obvious which one was real, and I could see them getting in the way more than they help.

I can't imagine both of these being implemented, and I would choose this over the fire. Why? Because it still allows fighting. I relate this to throwing a red shell onto on of battlefields upper platforms. No one goes on it, so all it does is cause people to avoid it. With a frozen pad, it would be similar to fighting on the UFO.

I really don't see this being added simply because that would involve every character having two separate models with animations and move sets. As cool as it would be, I think it'll never happen.

Would that render Mario's fire useless? What about firefox? I like the idea, especially if it lowered the affect of gravity on the player, would make combat interesting, especially if it didn't totally fill the screen(when emerging from the water, gravity would help prevent getting killed ^ too easily)

I think that would add too many projectile weapons, while some would be interesting to use at first, I think they would unbalance the item pool, by creating too many good projectile weapons and not really adding anything really new or original.

Another Item I really like. However, I think it is much too good. Just one means that the match is now 5-4, imagine if you are lucky enough to get 2...

Again, this would involve modeling everyone again. And then there's the fact that no one would want to go through it because their character would get nerfed so hard it's not even funny.

I would love to see these combined into one item, with the arrow spinning clockwise. Whatever it stops on when it lands is the affect that is imposed upon the players. Chaos ensues...

No, a pillow itself is not a bad thing, but 20 seconds is an eternity in smash bros. Make it like Jigglys and then it's a possibility. I also think it would be better if it did no damage. It would be great too, if you could hold the pillow to reduce the amount of damage you receive when attacked.

Interesting concept, but what about characters that normally only attack with their feet. Considering they are glued down, I don't foresee them attacking being too realistic, however I do like he idea, it's very original.

Ewww, no. Fast and strong, sounds like the bat already is. Way overpowered. I think this would be best left out.

Outside of the random spot, I like it. I think it should choose the highest concentration of characters and land there.

Read Mamar and you have my answer. I understand it's 50%, but if you're going 1:1 and both get frozen... lame.

Can the player not move? If they can it's not realistic, but if they can't, they're gonna get owned.

Koopar Fire shell: He acts like a red shell but faster and more powerful with a 25 % chance of causing burn damage
No, we already have the red shell, and I don't see the need of another.

Bombette Big boom: She walks up to an enemy and explodes for 20% and heavy knockback
OK, works for me.

Parakarry Shell shot: He will shoot directly at a player for 30% and heavy knockback with a 25 percent chance of missing
Another one I really like.

Lady bow fan slap: She floats up to an enemy and repeatedly slaps them 5 times each one 1% more powerful than the other starting at 3 % Causing 25% and does an accumulated knockback of regular moderates
I don't really like this, though maybe it would work.

Tippi: makes a small circle on the screen visible while the rest of the screen turns black. During this time all the action is still going on. The circle will travel around the screen and last 5 seconds.
I like this better than night shade... I hate night shade...

Thoreau: lets the character using him pick up enemies. When used he is thrown across the stage grabbing the first thing he comes in contact with. When pulling stuff back he can hit stuff in the way. The character then grabs the thing like they would usually grab it.
So basically it's an item that picks up items for you. I think it would cause awesome mayhem.

Boomer: he’s a bomb bomb that doesn’t move. He does double damage and has twice the blast radius. He will only blow up after 5 seconds or the player presses the attack button
No, I don't think that we need more copies of the same items. Plus, I think it would be weird to throw the ground and wait 5 seconds to explode, and remote detonation is way too good.

Thudely: when grabbed the character automatically does a ground pound dealing 20% damage to everything on that platform. No knockback is done.
OK.

Carrie: When grabbed she will go under the character and allow the character to move off the platform and float in the sky. Will last until the character is hit by a smash or 15 seconds.
I don't like it. Seems like an item only usable by pansies. You get attacked and it goes away, so it doesn't save you.

Cudge: He has the same power and speed as the hammer but you will not be weighed down by him.
I don'e get it, it acts like a hammer? If that's the case, no. Too similar to a current item.

Dottie: she shrinks the character by 5 sizes but the character is lighter.
So the character is essentially the size of captain olimar. I don't see this being helpful in any way, any hit and you'd die.

Barry: He powers up the shield with reflecting and has it damage the opponent if they touch the shield.
Outside of the damage sounds like the mirror shield other item, and I don't see why a shield would do damage, I don't like it.

Picillo: He makes everyone but the person who used him go to sleep
OK, I like that.

Dashell. Makes you move three times as fast
Imagine Falcon with this... DK powering up his fist in under a second(assuming it's no strictly movement Speed)

Overall, really nice selection of ideas. I like to see quite a few of them implemented to supplement the existing items.

thank you for the review and does anybody know the website where you can draw stuff and its like a video and shows the thing being drawn. Also Spiked boots: When used the player with them will have his weight increased a lot. The weight increase is like having bowsers wait added to yours. The weight only kicks in when your hit.

Spiked helmet: If a player trys to jump on you they will land on the helmet and take 10% damage and fly back a bit and be stunned

Spiked gloves: increases your attack power

Fire water: When drank the player will be set aflame and not take damage from it. If he touches another player that player will be set on fire and take 10% with no knock back. The fire will send the enemy player running around franticly for 3 seconds.

Ice water: when consumed the player will be frozen for 5 seconds and anyone who touches them will be frozen. All ranged attacks are ineffective against the frozen character. The characters that touched the frozen one can be hit by anything and may slide off arena. Effect lasts 5 seconds

Restoring light: item looks like a little mine and when thrown it will shoot out a thin beam of light the that will stop if it hits another platform. If a player is standing in the light they will restore % at a 5% per second speed. But if the item is hit the light will change from blue to red and anyone standing in will take 10% per second with no knock back. Knocked out players will feel the effect. The beam will alternate when hit. Lasts 10 seconds.

Binoculars: increases the distance ranged attacks go by doubling it. Lasts until knocked off

Fake Smash orb: a orb that looks like the FS orb. If grabbed it will explode doing 15% with a bomb omb knock back.

Time Bombomb: It looks like a bomb omb with a clock on that says 10 and when thrown the timer will go down and when it hits zero it explodes with three times the power and distance of a bomb omb. It can be hit off stage and has bowser weight.
Blank card: A card that when thrown If it hit someone they are trapped in the card and can be seen inside screaming but are inaudible. The attack deals no damage but when the character comes out after 5 seconds they are stunned for 3.

Brick block: Similar to the blocks in the Mario games as in they can be broken by being jumped on from under. When thrown the block will soar for about a second and stop in midair the platform can be jumped and will not brake until jumped on from underneath.

? Block: similar to the brick block but when hit from underneath an item will come and the block will disappear. There is a chance it will blow up similar to a bomb omb

Bloodhound: when used the dog will go around the screen and search for any trap items around the stage and deactivates them. This does not apply to the users items. It can be knocked off the stage but really who would be cruel enough to do that. He can jump from platform to platform.

Race flag: Item can be used once and then it will disappear. When waved ( when you press A) you have 5 seconds to find a secure zone or you will be hit by a pack of F- Zero cars that deal 10% per with little knock back

Old Movie Camera: When used it is placed on the field and all view is changed so that the tv shows whats showing on the camera. Meaning if you place the camera with lense showing off the edge of the field than the only thing you can see is the edge of the field from the cameras point of view. Last 10 seconds.

Detector: When held it will beep if a mine, pitfall, or exploding item crate, box, or capsule, is near. It is held until thrown and does 10 damage to anything its thrown at. You are capable of attacking when its held

I have some ideas:

Cape Feather: Gives you a cape that allows you to slowly float to the ground after jumping/falling, by holding the jump button. (Super Mario)

Note Block: Wherever it's thrown, it will stay for a while, either in the air or at the ground. It will act as a stationary trampoline.

Bowser Shell: Like a normal green shell, but much bigger! (Mario Kart)

Magic Dust: Sprinkle it over an opponent to turn him into a harmless blob creature for several seconds. Can still jump and walk, but not attack or double jump. (Zelda)

Gust Jar: Used to suck opponents and/or items to you that are far away. (Zelda)

Ice Spreader: A gun that has only 3 shots, creates a huge field of ice upon impact. Everyone who is close by at that moment will be frozen. The surrounding ground will be slippery for a while. (Metroid)

Wave Beam: A gun that can shoot through walls and electrifies the enemy. (Metroid)

Nugget: Gives you a big amount of special points once you collect it. (Pokemon)

Poke Flute: One-use item. Use it and all opponents are forced to dance for a short while. (they can't do anything else) (Pokemon)

Lock-On Gun: Charge it to lock on to an enemy and release to fire a homing shot. (Starfox)

Nova Bomb: Thrown item, only explodes when it hits an opponent. Huge blast radius! (Starfox)

Warp Creatue (don't remember their name): Two of them appear at once. Once activated, you can warp between them anytime. (Yoshi's Story)

Metal Barrel: You can throw it and it bounces off walls. When it's rolling back to you, you can jump on to ride on it. (DK Country)

Tire: You can roll it around and use it as a trampoline. The enemy can use it as well. (DK Country)

Mike: You can yell into the mike up to three times, and every time you do it, the opponents that are close by are hurt and thrown back by the sound. (Kirby)

Yoyo: Allows you to attack with a long-rage yoyo for a while (Kirby, Earthbound)

Eggplant Wizard's Wand: Fires eggplants in an arc that turns the opponent into an eggplant creature for a short while (similar to Magic Dust, but as a long-range projectile) (Kid Icarus)

What do you say? :)

My favorite was the Water Bottle.
That would be sick nasty if making stages under-water could be implemented.
But, it is a stretch.
Great ideas.
