Whenever a mod makes some statement in a thread they view as unnecessary, they always close it right after. WTF is that all about.

Like with the thread about how smash 64 and melee, were combined, some mod just comes in and says why the policy is enacted, then closes the thread so no one can offer their own opinion, thoughts, criticisms, or proposals.

Inb4 the cyber police say what they think and then close this thread so that no one can offer their own thoughts.:urg:

the mod(s) who combined the two sections are probably waiting to see all the people get butthurt over it and laugh

nothing to be done about it
the people who are top top on the site probably don't even play either game

... well its not like we're trying to silence your thoughts its just this really isn't the right place to do stuff like that.

Theres always forum support or asking an administrator for things like that.

Us as the Melee Discussion mods have no power in combing forums. And saying this really doesn't do much.

If its something that bothers you take it up in forum support.

I'm just sayin, there are some threads where it's cut and dry closing, and sometimes it's better to leave it open.

Think before you close.

i agree with teczero. it doesnt really change anything, people just always resist change no matter how insignificant. i say let them do what they are doing, at absolute worst things will settle down to be the same as they are now.

Your post is to make us think that we should have allowed you to talk about the ssb64/melee merging?

If thats the case, I'll tell you that I closed it because its 100% pointless to argue about something like that.

Its not an issue about melee you have, its an issue with the website in general.

Thats the main reason we closed it. It doesn't belong here.

Also, fyi we don't always close as soon as we see things. There were quite a few threads we took our time deciding. So we do think before we close.

EDIT: At this point I feel like I've answered your concern well enough. If not just PM me/Victra/Junglefever about this and I'll try to clear things up for you.

Well you did it again

We were having a discussion and you closed the **** down.:(

I was gonna say that you could've moved the thread or at least told the guy to put it in the forum issues section.

Is this really a discussion?

You're talking to me directly, do we need a thread for this? Just PM me like I asked you to do.

Also, I'm not 100% sure how all the forum support thing works. It doesn't work the same as most forums, so I'm not sure I can just simply move threads into there.

Just post a new thread...

So can I close this now?

The only things you should post in this forum is things pertaining to SSBM.

If you have problems with staff, policies, the site or infractions that you feel are unwarranted thats all for Forum support.

Only Admin's can see what you post in forum support. If you have a problem with a member or moderator, post there.

If you have suggestions about the website, then go to the Smashboards Information Center and post in the Questions and Suggestions thread. As a mod of that room as well I make sure that all suggestions are heard by someone higher up. Melee discussion is not hte place to make suggestions to changes in the website.

I don't know what you're getting at, but forum support works. They aren't there to take sides, and are willing to work with you to sort out whatever problem you have.

Basically you're talking to the people that matter.

I'm closing this now, if you don't like the merging. Again go to Forum support/Information center, we can't help.

If you make a thread again on the topic of the merging or us closing threads too rashly I'm infracting you for spam. So PM me/go to forum support for questions on this topic.

If you'd like to try to get it separated or feel this has been done wrongly go to the Smash information Center and post your concerns there.

This pretty much goes for everyone btw. We've given the reason on why the two were merged, so there's no reason for more discussion to appear about it.
