i heard kirby could suck up items now?

so where did we "hear" this? I mean, was it in some sort of video? and if this is the case, does it mean Dedede can suck up/spit out items also?

Yeah, he can. Some member who played the game said he sucks up items and spits them back out as stars and it deals damage.
