The Wii's copy protection will prevent you form playing it, assuming your wii isn't modded.

If you softmod your Wii you don't actually need to burn a DVD either. You can directly run the game off a thumb drive or external hard drive.

A flash drive will work with DIOS MIOS. Don't mistake it for DIOS MIOS LITE, because the lite version only reads games off the SD card.
