Ok, here's the skimmy:

http://www.nsider2.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=21240

My original thread on Nsider2 is above. I am just going to C&P what I had there if you don't feel like going there.

Nsider2, listen to me. We continue to state that we would like the demo to come to wii-ware, or a specific Brawl channel. There is no doubt in my mind that Nintendo won't at least make a Brawl channel. However, there is always a hint of doubt when you consider that they probably aren't even considering it. What if though, there was a way for the community to get this idea out on a much larger scale? To raise awareness if you will? I have concocted a plan that will get our message heard, but I can't do this alone Nsider2, and I can't guarentee that we will get the demo or a channel with this method....

but darn it, we will at least be heard.

My plan is simple. VERY simple. I am sure you are all aware of the EVC, (Everybody Votes Channel.) My plan is this. To post a question, and have the mass community post the same question, everyday, by the thousands. This will show stubborness, but it will also show how passionate we are in getting the Brawl demo.

The question?

"Should the Brawl demo be made playable through a Wii channel?"

choices: Yes and No.

What will this do? Well, if the question can get stressed enough to be put as a vote choice on the channel, it will show the results (which will be an overwhelming yes response, no doubt in my mind) and it will raise awareness for this idea.

Again, just that question. Don't change it up, just that question. Everyday, until we see it on the vote channel.

What do you guys think? I am being very serious, and I would love feedback.

and there you have it smashboards. I need your assistance. Are you willing to help me out? (BTW how do you poll? -.-; )

I'm all for a downloadable demo. I've said it in another thread; they could release it for 2000 Wii points, and I would buy it. Without hesitation.

But... come on. Trying to raise awareness is silly. You act like Nintendo doesn't know that Brawl will, hands down, be the Wii's biggest game for years to come.

Besides, I'm pretty sure there's a filter on Everybody Votes. I've submitted polls before that've gotten ignored. I bet they'd just not post the poll.

Actually it's an interesting concept. But when we tried something similar...
Referring to the stupid online petition that was a waste of time because they had already promised online since Brawl's first announcement?

I really like this idea. My question though is will a Brawl demo fit on a Wii's internal memory? Maybe it would have to require additional memory from an SD card?

I think Nintendo releasing a Brawl demo on December 3rd would be fair. It would hold everyone over until the real game comes out.

It sure beats sitting round and *****ing and moaning about the pushback wouldn't you agree?

After all, I am fairly positive they already know about this, and have plans on doing something regarding it...

This is just to be safe, and to give them a really annoying shove on the shoulder if you will.

WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED! ONE VOICE, ONE GOAL! >=D

We sent well over 1000 e-mails to Nintendo asking a question and we didn't get a response. Nintendo knows people want a demo, people telling them something they know won't make a difference.
This is different though. =P

Whether they add the question to EVC or not...

SOMEONE will be like, "gah...these people..."

and if they weren't aware before, they will be now.

I guess so.

... Except, how many people do you actually see complaining about this? 98% of us are thrilled over the sudden rush of gameplay footage we have to feast on.

If you believe that, you're a sucker. This was planned. They realized as soon as they decided to push the release date back that people were going to angry. So they gave us Sonic and flooded us with gameplay footage.
I see through their plan, and I'm not buying it. I would still slit Reggie's throat if he stood here before me.

Well, it was retardly bad this afternoon, and it still is a bit over at Nsider2...

but yea, pretty calm over here.

XD I can't even keep up with all the vids they keep plopping out. I also couldn't stand watching a few because of the horrid angles they were taking at, (****ing wiimote. -_-;)

And I don't think that this unique petition will be a shocker to Sakurai or Nintendo in any way. They already know this will be the biggest game of the year(s), they don't need the petition telling them that.

It will tell me we're extremely agitated by the delay, and hopefully annoy them enough to go through with it. Like a child pestering it's parents for a candy bar.

Exactamundo.

We are not asking them to halt the making of Brawl, or make it come out sooner...

Just to share the demo that was tauntingly shown today.

A lot of times in life, you have to pester to get things your way. Like getting a son to take out the trash, or calling someones name to catch their attention, or a child pestering their mom to buy them a box of Buncha Crunch candy.

If I knew you wanted something, I don't care. Pestering me would make me care so I can stop you from pestering me. That's how the world works. Clearly Nintendo hasn't been pestered enough, so it needs to be done more.

I emailed them about getting a demo earlier today, but this is also a good idea. Constant emails combined with that question being sent over and over might get Nintendo to listen to us.

Good idea. If I ever get the Wii I own back online, I'll be sure and help! Let's submit this day after day after day, and see if Nintendo stops being dumb with the EVC (like c'mon, who cares if you can snap your fingers or not=???), and start aiming at the REAL GAMERS!

And weak update. I'm disappointed, as I've been most this week post-Sonic. :(

I'm down with this idea. I mean, it may be pointless...but how could it possibly have any negative affects?

"oh, no! Brawl is being delayed until 2009 cause those stupid kids on EVC won't shut up about the demo."

they either listen or ignore...they won't reprimand.

I have my doubts because Nintendo, and the big companies in general, really aren't fans of demo's. I don't think I've ever seen a demo put to good use.

Funny to think though, that they can basically sell us the game twice, and we would buy it, and they would make so much more money. Sell the demo for like, any price above what it costs them to make the demo disc, so anything about 50 cents. >.>
