So if you played PBR before, I'm sure u know where I'm going with this.

First of all, PBR is a game where you can go online and battle anyone around the world in a pokemon battle. There is no leader board displayed for battle with any1 or with friends. You just battle until there's a winner or some1 disconnect.

Same is being apply for Brawl. You will be able to go online to play with any1 or with friend codes. There isn't going to be a leader board for this game also.

Yet, any1 who played PBR can tell you that there is actually some sort of a match making system implemented into the game. When you start to play the game, you will fight all kind of battles: legendary pokemons, people who have no idea what's going, good teams, bad teams, etc. As you win more and more, the bad people start to dissapear... and before you know it, the only people you fight r good people!

This could be a coincidence right? Nope. If you were to create a new account by deleting ur save file and go back online, then you will fight all kinds of people again. This also apply if you lose a lot. Then you'll play a bunch of people with bad team like yourself (no offense).

So what does this mean? It means that PBR keeps a hidden record for everybody in the game. They will only match u with other people base on ur record. So what to say that they might not do that for brawl?

Even now, PBR still doesn't have a leaderboard but people r still match with other people around their level.

in summary: PBR have a hidden record that is use to match people online, brawl can also have a hidden record to match people online too. Regular people will never see it and no one will play for the records if they don't know it exist.

just some info and speculation to help people that want rankings for wi-fi.

grammar could use some work, but very informative nonetheless!
Let's hope brawl does this!

Since it is a hidden feature, we wouldn't know if it was in the game until after we've played it for awhile, but it truly is genius.

Finally, someone posts this, with evidence!

What good is an online system where you play totally random people? It wouldn't be fun that way, everyone knows it, and that is exactly why they wouldn't do it.

That game is very underated and gets too much hate. It's better than Super Overrated Mario Strikers, that game is very boring.

PBR is a great game, just not as good as Colosseum and geared exclusively towards Pokemon Players.

Yes. PBR is more fun than Shoddy Battle will ever be, but I stopped playing Pokemon because all of the best players migrated to Shoddy Battle, and Pokemon WiFi took up a lot of my time preparing teams that are inferior to everything else.

Smash Brawl will not have that kind of time wasting for me. You can grab someone's friend code, and go!

Do not add an s to the end of pokemon to make a plural.

PBR:
Game - €50
DS - €150
Pokémon - €40
-----
€240 total.

MSCF:
Game - €50
-----
€50 total.

Also, Mario Strikers Charged is a great game. It lacks features, but the core gameplay is so great that you keep playing it, even though you play with the exact same settings all the time.

Sakurai said flat out that records are not kept in Brawl's wifi. Maybe he's lying and it's actually hidden, but there's no way for us to know that until it's been out for a while or they decide to tell us. I wouldn't get your hopes up though.

Was it really hidden?
I thought it tracked your stats on your trainer card or something?
Like how many wins you got.
I'm not sure I haven't played that game in ages.

Yeah, but I'm far more interested in Pokemon than some soccer game with Mario characters sprinkled in. Those interested in PBR would already have a DS and Pokemon Game(s).

Did the PBR instruction manual or WiFi screen during the game ever hint or tell you that you would be matched against similarly skilled opponents or something? If not, then theres hope!
