I try to be a pretty patient player. I was Playing as Kirby and went up against a Fox in for glory mode. As most people know the first thing that most Fox players do is camp lasers for free damage. As Kirby you can duck under them. I was curious to see how long it would take him to approach. He spammed the B button for a good minute as I ducked under his laser. Then I was disconnected and punished for idling. I guess I could have jumped but ducking at that point was the safer option. I'm not sure if I would consider that fair. If he can spam laser why I can't I be defensive and duck?

Idiotic nintendo auto-kicking system. I get why they'd implement it, but it's dumb sometimes.
Try this next time. When ducking, randomly hold shield every so often, then just duck out of shield and walla, you can continue doing it. Or even do a frame 1 spotdodge.

The main issue is that it only checks for button presses, not if you're holding a button. So avoiding lasers like this, holding a Luma Shot or Aura Sphere charge in place, keeping Fox's Reflector up, and so forth all get considered "idling."

I may be wrong, but I believe you actually have to move around to not get kicked out.

Okay, then it's just plain idiotic. They need to make the idle cap higher at least. Fox stops shooting at some points ( I don't believe you can consistently be shooting ) so it may be good to like, use a down tilt.

Doesn't it take 2-3 minutes for this to happen?
No it was less than 2 minutes. I know there was a lot of things I could have done. I Guess I was just curious how hard he was gonna camp for 10% damage. I actually sat back and drank my beer while waiting lol.
