I finally came up with a concept that I like for the 2D fighting game I want to make.

TIME FOR THE BACKSTORY! NANANANANA!
Well, I've always wanted to make a 2D fighter because they're so much fun and look pretty awesome! And my neighbor knows how to code it (he just cant draw...thats where i come in!). So after months and months and months of brainstorming with no avail, an idea randomly sprouted in my head when I was mowing the lawn (best ideas come to me when im lawn mowing.)

When I finished my chore, I RAN up to the computer and started trying to type stuff. Then, I saw that Denzi was on AIM. So instead of typing my ideas in a word document, I shove all the ideas in a stream of IMs (with my horribly spazzy grammer).

SO I FEEL SO INSPIRED RIGHT NOW.
Finished a concept sketch for a character today. Her name is Isabelle and shes a Queen. Though, she probably wont be playable if the game is made...shes peaceful. BUT IM GETTING SIDETRACKED. GRAWRRR.

So yeah. Inspired.
I like feeling inspired.

Anyone else have any cool "OMG I FEEL INSPIRED" moments lately?

Man. I've always wished I could draw well. Ever since little, I've been practicing a lot.
Problem is:

1) I draw like ****.
2) My characters designs just plainly suck all the time.

Man, it's good to hear about peoples inspiration. Inspiration is a thing that like everyone needs. But keep up the work on the project and seriously never let go of it. Good luck on it.


Huh.. my inspiration moments. I dunno really. I kind of lost inspiration for an interest I had.. but that kind of moved on to other interest which can move onto other interest.


I'm gonna be so freaking confused when I get out of high school. Hold me >.<

@RyuReiatsu: Dont give up on yourselffff!! I know im just a typical person saying "Practiceeee!" but sometimes thats all you can do. Just find some artists that inspire you and find some aspects of others work you like.

Oooo what kind of fanfics?
Hmm...since i havent started initial sprite-ing yet i dont have a lot of advice at hand
but...dont be afraid of the pixels!
And try some initial pencil sketches that you can use as bases for your characters that you can trace into sprite bases

Yay! I love that feeling :D And yes, I've been inspired a lot lately for the project I've been making in art. We did this paper mache thing and we covered a balloon with it, and I decided to make an obese mermaid XD So far, she has a hand-sewn bra lined with sequins with her initials on them and sequin designs on her tail. And soon she will have a home-made weave (a hair weave, but with yarn :B) and the most beautiful face ever.
