That thread makes zero sense.

If you're looking for symbolism, then sure you could say that this and that represents this and that, but to then say that it was intentional and therefore racist? That's just beating ignorance with the stupid stick.

Even if it was intentional, it wouldn't be racist.

People don't understand what racism is. Gotta love when people think that saying "That dude's got some black hops"- is racist.

Sexist? Ike's pretty ****ing good looking too. It's just a bunch of beautiful people. WAIT, I guess it's cartoonist too because there's some cartoony characters!

And it is a big deal, actually. They would lose potential customers if they flaunted racist propaganda.

I was going to say something else concerning your opinion, but I would probably get banned if I did.

Smash isn't racist. If you were to say smash was racist, you would technically be saying that all of Nintendo's core franchises have a racial link in some way. Take the DK series. It's just a poor gang of monkeys who want their ****** bananas back. What's so racist about that? Maybe it would be if you twisted the idea, but the core is that monkeys like bananas and people who take what people/monkeys like are bad and the monkeys have a right to get their bananas back. Sorry, but I don't see how that could be racist.

Smash isn't an indirect racial call as you seem to be claiming. It's a fighting game based on what Nintendo and the company's history has to offer to the fans.

Once again, I would like CK to close this.

I personally think that all the character types may represent racism..

my point is closing a topic based on debating YES or NO... is wrong dont stop people from debating...

It was closed because the only thing that was going to come from the thread was flaming and spam, which is usually the result when people start a debate in the Pool Room. If you wish to debate, apply for entry into the Debate Hall.
