Smash Wii U I am beginning to like the Wii U Pro Controller more than the GameCube Controller!

Is there any way to unsync a Pro controller from a Wii U? The thing I'm most worried about using it is accidentally messing up someone's match when it's in my pocket or something.

I had already convinced myself post Brawl, and after seeing the gamepad and the pro controller, that it had come time to master a new controller set up. We got lucky this time, but the GC controller isn't going to be supported forever, and it is time to move on. So about 6 months ago I started learning how to use the classic controller pro on Brawl, then I practiced on the 3DS to learn those controls too. Since the wii u gamepad, pro controller, and 3DS share extremely similar button positions, it made it a breeze to transfer to the pro controller and gamepad. And since I'm good with the classic controller pro, that is plus as well.

Out of all 3 of those options, I'm liking the gamepad the best so far. Pro controller is right up with it though.

That's exactly why wireless controllers are banned from tournaments.

I haven't seen a tournament in a long time where wireless controllers were banned. Razer always used Wiichuck even at the big tournaments. It's not a problem for Wiimotes since you can take the batteries out.
