Hypespotting is back!
The return of the most HYPE event in the UK today is here, and in its fantastic fifth instalment, it is set to be bigger than ever. On April 2nd and 3rd 2016, the Hypespotting team descend on Glasgow and present to you fighting game tournaments of such epic proportions, you cannot afford to miss out!
Following on from our successful visit last time, we return to the spacious Hilton Hotel, located within Glasgow city centre. Those of you who joined in the hype there before will recognise what a superb venue it is, and very well suited to hosting the biggest event in the UK fighting game community.
Now the really exciting part – we can announce that Hypespotting 5 will feature double elimination tournaments in the following titles:
Street Fighter V Super Smash Bros for Wii U Mortal Kombat X Guilty Gear Xrd The King of Fighters XIII Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 Ultra Street Fighter IV Killer Instinct Super Street Fighter II Turbo Blazblue Chronophantasma Extend Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Super Smash Bros. MeleeThe competition will be fierce, and the matches seriously tough, but succeed and you will join an elite band of fighters who can call themselves Hypespotting champions. Plus this time, you have the opportunity to show off your skills to the World as we will be running multiple live streams to capture all of the best salty loses and glorious victories. So if you want to test your might against some of the finest talent not only in the UK but much further beyond also, then Hypespotting 5 should be your destination.
Hypespotting has become the largest fighting game community event in the UK, a position which could not have been achieved without the amazing support and interaction of the community. We may put out the setups and run the brackets, but it is you guys who build the unrivalled atmosphere of HYPE. And no-where is that more apparent than in the awesome Hypespotting Pub Quiz! Our regular quizmasters will be back to take over Saturday night and pose some particularly tricky questions. Do you have the in-depth gaming knowledge, the basic art skills, and the ability to decipher terrible dubstep to score top marks? Come along, try your luck, and take home some fantastic prizes!
The Road To Hype is back with more opportunities for you to win your tournament entry and seeding at Hypespotting 5, as well as get in that vital practice to make sure you are at the top of game when the main event hits It’ll all be kicking off very soon, visiting many locations across the country.
