Well wanted to see what the Houston Smash Scene is all about... I am somewhat new to smash but I learn quick will soon be rdy for some tourneys. It would also be helpful if someone pointed me in the right direction as to How and what I need to do in order to get on a Team... etc...
It is probably posted somewhere but lol I am a noob.
Side note: Does houston have their own Website and forums? For instance Las Vegas has VegasSmash.com

Welcome to the boards. Unfortunately, you'll find that Houston smash is very disorganized, and no, there isn't website. There are a couple of people in the north/northwest side in Katy/Humble if you can somehow contact them.
As for Houston tournaments, the next closest one will probably be Dawn of the John in Magnolia in Sept.

Entragic, I am most likely going to be hosting another tourney in the next 2 weeks... its not official... but look out for it.

Get togethers? not so much anymore.... someone should look into that. Who all do you use? And what is your real name? You will find we have a ranking system, work hard and you could be on the top 10 list... if you even care. It seems no one does anymore.

Well My name is Marcus and i went to my friends house over the summer in Las Vegas. They taught me a lot of stuff about Smash and stuff like that. My friend is the leader of the crew [TFI] Tri Fool Inc and they Attended the tourney in OC . They did ok but that was mainly because their top player was unable to attend.
Well anyways they wanted me to pick up Samus and i did. They taught me all the technical stuff and I got to play against them regularly, which was intense. Luckily i am a fast learner and i have teh uber micro
I currently do not have a gamecube or Wii but i am getting a used one from an old pal of mine. And of course I have a copy of smash.
Well thats about it... i guess..
Time to work hard for a Top 10 spot.

Alright guys, I think this is time to finally get houston organized. I need a list of people who are willing to show up to tournaments and participate. I need to know who can give rides and who is just like, most likely to show up. Please PM me or post here so I can get a head count of how organizing this place will work.

Houston is fine. its just no one can find venues/get there own car and carpool. and if a venue is found, i end up running the thing so dont think no one is willing to run it.
Bear if you do a tournament...20 people minimum is promised. houston does not have a lack of players. we have a lack of venues. Also, ill take fests over tournies anyday, you get more matches in, and u have much more fun.
