Am I the only one that LIKED Assault's gameplay? The ground parts were nice but they just need to take emphasis off of it. But seriously, why can't we have everything?
No you're not the only one. I did like a few of the ground missions and thought it was kinda cool to play as fox out of the cockpit (with a gun). I just wish most of those ground missions didn't make you want to throw your controller at the wall. Now if the ground missions were of higher quality and less quantity, they would be perfect to break up the monotony of an all-flying game. There were so many problems with Assault that I don't think the ground missions should take the rap for it's suckage.

Better AI, no more ground missions unless it looked realistic, I mean u fall 20 foot-high of a cliff thingy and u have the same stance as if u were walking...

More mission that makes u return to previous places like for say:

u star off the corneria from an invasion, depending on how well u did and stuff diferent routes appear, later on u hear a distress signal from corneri, u arrive and it was all a trap the main guys got you and u gotta figth on the ground, either that or try to break the trap and ge tto your ship, meaning diferent boss fights...

and please something more entertaining than hitting a boss in a certain area doing the same thing over and over...

or they could make a star wolf game, showing the past, present and future of star wolf...

Just go back to the old school star fox. Ground combat is what KILLED the Star Fox series. Fox should never leave his Arwing and the levels need to go back to the rails system. All-range mode is great but it should only be used during boss battles or the occasional epic fight (sort of like the SF64 level with the mothership attack).

Star Fox 64 was the best in the entire series. Developers need to look at that game and try not to screw up again.
Thank you. Star fox was never meant to be on foot. End of story

If you think the Star Fox multiplayer is better than the single player than you don't deserve to have an opinion on the matter. You can say that the whole game sucks, but if you say that the multiplayer is somehow better than the single player... you're just completely wrong and that's all there is to it.

SF's multiplayer is bare-bones and boring.
It's not that i liked multiplayer better, but SF is always worthless after the first time through a level.(unless of course you move to a different area) because you know exactly where the nect enemy will pop up. IN sf64 i used to actually shoot bombs before the enemy even showed up because i knew when they'd appear. They'd appear and die.

Opinions are subjective. I'm not going to jump down your throat for wanting to shoot brain dead AI. If you like SF64 why don't you just play that?

I will and do. But the fact of the matter is not that the single player isn't any good. It's that you're obviously a completely noobish moron because you actually like the multiplayer better.

If you had said "Star Fox 64 is just a bad game in general" then that wouldn't be the case. But you actually think the multiplayer is good and the single player is bad. While it's an opinion, true, people can have stupid opinions.
