in holland playing brawl whenever i can
maybe it's not clear to everyone. But i will like to see that Nintendo sends you (if you have brawl) things like new music, new stages, new story's for the sse and maybe even new characters. i think that that is pretty cool. what about you??????

I actually had a similar idea about dowloadable characters and such. I don't know the technical difficulties behind the whole thing, but I would like new stages or even new stuff for stage builder. I don't think we would get new characters. Maybe new weapons and music but not characters...not matter how bad I want them.

edit: or nintendo can give out expansion disks

edit:edit: or do like sony did with psp and add those expansions (updates) to the new games coming out.

Wii's hard drive is to small. I really doubt seeing this in the future enless we come out with hard drives or it's an expansion disk like hellbeing said.

Downloadable stages could be tourney legal. In shooters (unreal I think), new level maps are tourney legal.

We could be seeing it though. Guitar Hero III is being re-released for the Wii. The new version will support downloadble content. That means it would be possible to add files (songs in the case of GH3 and stages in the case of SSBB), but I don't know about patching a game like xbox360 and ps3 does (which means maybe no menu selection changes)

sure it does
havent u ever updated ur Wii?
its the same thing ssid water u were inquiring
Thats not the same thing though... Characters, stages and everything else will be just WAY to much. Chances of it happening are slim...

I have a feeling in the near future that there will be an external harddrive for the Wii. With a game like Guitar Hero III already out, I don't see why they wouldn't. Activision is still talking with nintendo about this since we can't at this point get the DLable content. If this happens I don't see why we couldn't get Smash updates through the Wii Shop or even through an expansion disk. Only if this happens could it be even remotely possible however, so as I see it, no external harddrive = no Brawl expansions.

Yeah SD Cards should work. A 2 GB should be fine since stages, music, items wouldn't be that big. But Nintendo really needs to step it up with its online.
