How will SSE character selection work?

I don't think this has been directly mentioned yet, but has it been mentioned how you select characters to use in the SSE mode? What I mean is, do you:

1. Select any character from the full roster of characters that you've unlocked, and then play their own personal scenarios. As you go on, you will switch partners, but you'll always play as that chosen character.

2. You start by choosing only a limited number of characters (say Mario or Kirby), then you can play as more characters and switch characters as you go on.

3. Dunno.


Also, I hope that they have some sort of stage selection so you can replay stages that you've already cleared. That would make catching boss character's trophies a lot easier too (since some characters you have to hit with the trophy item to get).
