How to tilt?

Excuse me for being worse than Fred Durst, but how do you even tilt consistently in this game? Perhaps it's the controllers I'm using, but there doesn't seem to be any joystick sensitivity on neither my arcade stick or ps3 controller so I'm just dashing everywhere all the time. Can somebody halp? :(

Don't use an Arcade stick or PS3 controller. Or a 360 controller.

Gamecube controller is the best one to use, but a Classic Controller Pro shouldn't be too bad either.

A little trick I learned was to go half way before the end of the range of the stick and then press A. You won't dash, or jump.

But you need to be using a GameCube controller.

Tilting should work just fine with any analog control stick. Assuming you're using dolphin, a PS3 or Xbox controller would work fine. The arcade stick will not as it is not analog and can only register a full press or nothing at all.

You can just press and hold the direction during another move (a wavedash in example) and press A when you can act.
But tbh, just get a wii or a gamecube USB adapter. Precise movement is absolutely necessary if you want to get good

Thanks for the help peeps. Looks like I'll have to invest in a Gamecube controller eventually.

With the game cube adapter announcement and all that? I doubt it.
