There's really no trick to it. You just have to get used to the timing.

Let's say you do an atrial attack prior to the title. Press up during the aerial attack, animation then when the animation is canceled, press A. You will do an up tilt.

Press the buttons lightly, new players have a habit of mashing the analog stick hard in every direction.
