How to reverse banana throw?

I see there's a Diddy Kong FAQ here but seems kind of dead so I'd figure I post here.

How exactly do you reverse banana throw? I can reverse peanut shoot but I can't do it with banana on GCC. Any tips?

I've been able to do it by inputting down-B then immediately the reverse direction that I'm facing - much like a normal reverse-B.

That's reverse banana pull. You can only reverse momentum with special moves, which is why it works with the popgun and pulling a banana. As far as I know, reverse banana throw is impossible in Smash 4.
