How to record gameplay?

It's a dout that i have for a long time, i have awesome things to show people but i can't record.

How do i do that? (sorry if it's the wrong area >.<)

If it's for recording gameplay from a console, buy a HD PVR or a similar recording device.

For the PC, use FRAPS. (Makes the game lag a bit sometimes tho.)

PVR's may eat a hole in your wallet, but trust me. they're worth every cent.

Frig, I just would be happy with 360, don't need something HD or whatever even when uploading.
If you don't care about quality, the general standard for capture cards is the Dazzle DVC100. Otherwise, there are a few more Pinnacle brand products that are a step up from that.

Don't use FRAPs. I recorded a Lets Play a while back and used Hypercam and it worked perfectly without all of the issues I had with FRAPs.
