How do you do combos faster and movement faster do I just wavedash and L cancel a lot what do I do?

Minimize your idle frames. E.g, when your lcancel ends, dash immediately.

If you have 20XX hack pack you can turn on idle frame colors so you know where you are wasteful

I'd recommend getting good at wave-landing on and off of platforms- it helped me.
Go into practice mode and practice moving around platforms, see how fast you can reach the top platform and act out of landing on it- for example aerial dodge straight down over it to land faster. Check out Lovage's tech-skill videos.

Being able to move faster will help you combo faster.
Be wary of practicing stuff like drill shines etc. without a target as the timing is different on impact.

This is just an example- make sure to work on your own routine, start on what you find most difficult and try to have a little bit of everything in there.
