How to get Critical Hitter equipment?

Hey y'all. I've logged damn near 100 hours in my game so far and haven't encountered a single piece of equipment that gives the Critical Hitter effect. I'd like a few for my amiibo. Is there a certain method I've been overlooking, or should I just keep grinding for equipment?

You can get the Critical Hitter Brawn Badge by making a grand total of 300 KOs in Smash mode. Just make sure that you have challenge panel 2 unlocked as well; you will not get the reward if the challenge panel isn't unlocked, but clearing the challenge prematurely will give you the reward the instant its panel location is unlocked.

Super weird--I seem to have that reward to equip to characters but can't feed it to my amiibo!

You probably shouldn't feed your amiibo figures equipment with bonus effects. This is especially true for the equipment that you win for clearing challenges, as their stats are fixed.

Is that the only way to get a crit brawn badge?

I have that panel unlocked, but i think something happened to my critical hitter brawn badge. Is there any other way to get another critical hitter brawn badge?

Only from a random drop now. Of course, the random drops will have different stat modifications than the one that you've acquired from the challenge box.

More than likely you reached the maximum of 3000 pieces of equipment and the game erased it without warning. I wrote a guide on why selling equipment is mandatory, which includes techniques for keeping your equipment from vanishing permanently. It is a major flaw in the game that only gets worse when ignored.

So i sold about 100 pieces of gear, and i did about 100 more smash runs and got every kind of gear EXCEPT for critical brawn badge. Is there a certain character that you need to be to make getting a crit brawn badge easier to get?

On the plus side, a randomly generated Critical Hitter Brawn Badge is guaranteed to have better stats than the one you get from that challenge. On the downside, getting one (or any specific piece of equipment) isn't easy; I've gotten ~5000 drops on Smash Wii U without getting a single one (I do have a Protection and Agility Badge, and the Gloves and Sword I have cover 25%+ of the cast including most of my mains). I suspect it's entirely random.

Then i have terrible luck lol. I play it on 3ds, and have done probably close to 100 hours of smash run and not 1 piece of critical brawn badge
