how to do the mortar slide without hitting someone???

i really want to learn how to do this tech but i have no idea where to start!! please help!!

1) Tap Jump off (helps a lot.)
2) Dash.
3) Dash attack by using C Down, while at the same tame/almost the same time, press Up + A.
4) to charge it, hold Up A.

Alternatively you can Dash and then flick the C stick down and then up quickly. Can charge holding the Z button. Takes a bit of practice
