How to check messages sent by other players?

There is are 3 different ways to send messages on the wii U...
1. Check you're miiverse messages.
2.Check your friend requests and see if they left you a message.
3. The other possible way is if they sent it to you're photo album.

The poster above nailed it. Tap that green Miiverse icon at the bottom of your WiiU gamepad and then go to "Messages" - that's the easiest way.
