How to become Pro with Captain Falcon/Link?

I mean, the knee is still WAY harder to land than in Melee in my opinion (and Melee has higher fall speeds and faster lateral speed in my opinion) but if you can land it consistently that's good. If you do start consistently winning against 3 CPUs with FF on, then turn it off, otherwise probably not (just to measure progress or whatever). A signature KO move is probably BAD unless it's guaranteed or you can read DI to guaranteed it - because then people know it's coming and try to guard against it (the way people try to land super carefully against MK to avoid dsmash and try to avoid getting utilted by Snake, etc.). If that combo all works that's one impressive combo though, didn't know he could do all that (I'd bet the knee isn't guaranteed but even just all that sounds like a solid 25% and I'm guessing you could change the throw to maybe get another attack off it if knee isn't guaranteed).
Yeah, the CPUs do tend to get killed by Snake, but only Snake, for some reason. I'll turn friendly fire off, just cuz it hurts my pride if Snake gets more kills than I.
