How much do you think DLC will cost?

Yea, it said you'd get it for free if you bought both the 3DS and Wii U version, but it also implied that it would cost for one version.

So how much do you think it'll cost? I really hope it has more characters other than Mewtwo and costs under $10.

I think it'll be around 5 to 8 bucks I cant really see it being 10 bucks just for a character but for like a bundle where you get the character and a DLC Stage I definitely think it will be 10 bucks and since they will probly go with the season pass routine I think it'll be 5 characters and the season pass will be 20 bucks based on my estimate on the characcters and all that. Stages willl most likely cost like 5 bucks.

Y limeted time only? They wouldn't go out of their way to make a character then have no one else get him. I can see nintendo allowing you to unlock him just by having both versions of the game.

Limited for like a month or so before it went on sale to those who don't have both versions. Of course, if you have both versions, you would still get the character for free.

In other words, the only time you can play as Mewtwo during that one month period is by having both copies of Smash.

I picture DLC fighters costing around £5, maybe a bit more. Seems the standard pricing for new characters in fighters from what I've seen, but I've not really observed how Nintendo has priced it's DLC before this.

To be honest, I don't think there's much point to speculating.

DLC, as a content delivery mechanism, is still very new to Nintendo and the few examples of precedent (Fire Emblem: Awakening and Mario Kart 8 are the obvious ones,) seem like they're just trying to test the waters.

Mewtwo isn't slated until Spring of 2015, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo doesn't know how they're going to deliver him to people that have only one version of the game or how much.

I can say that what I'd like to see is DLC fighters being released alongside their Amiibos as a 'pack-in bonus'. That would be pretty cool and would probably help drive sales.

If it is a pack (character, stage etc), I'd say around £10-12

1 character = $3.99
4 characters = $8.99

1 character & 1 stage = $4.99

4 characters & 4 stages = $12.99

Yeah, I think that if Mewtwo comes with anything else, it'll be a stage (just one).

But, I think further down the line we will see a larger DLC update. This would be a while after Mewtwo's release, tho.

They'll most likely group characters and stages into DLC packs like in Mario Kart 8 and charge around $8 for each and have special deals for those who buy multiple packs.
