Be nice to me guys.
For me, as a highschooler, nintendo fans are scarce.

We have about 6 to 7 guys that are interested in this game and are excited for it. Me and Joe are the only ones that follow Brawl on a daily basis (if you don't, you're not a true fan of the game)

A true fan? What happens if you don't? :ohwell:

That I know, about 5.

But older audience tends to go with the others two consoles, that goes like 20 that I know. :p

At my school I'd say under 10.

Than there are true noobs that go "Steven, is sonic in Brawl?!?!?!" But I don't count them.

Most of the kids that play melee at lunch are interested, but me and my neighbor are the only two that follow the updates daily that I know of.

Yesterday, I just randomly found out a group of about 7 kids at my school have wiis. They're kinda weird though, but I could still play against them online without having to be friends with them or hang out with them. I don't know what skill level they are however, so it might not be that much competition.

My school is MASSIVE, and the only person I know that is interested in Brawl is my best friend. Everyone else is talking about Halo...

For the past three thursdays, I've been going to this "Games Club" where everyone basically just plays Melee...but there's like 10 of them besides my friends, and 8 of those 10 are mentally disabled in some way.

Every gamer in my class who has/wants a Wii or knows of the Smash series is excited about Brawl, but none of them care about Melee. And these are the gamers who are like "omg advanced techs are pointless i could win with raw skill i dont need your **** techs" x_X Yeah. Those people. I basically grew up around these "tech skeptics" (fancy words for noobs) and boy am I proud i consider myself not among them anymore.

Still, the fact is you don't need the advance technique to win, they're just there to help. You're pratically saying that 99% of the world are noobs...

GIVE THIS MAN AN INTERNET!

Also, I used to hang out with the tech sceptics =P .
But I remembered my mom always says "Choose your friends wisely" , so I decided to no longer be a noob.

Anyways, I wish there was more of a Melee scene at my school.
Screw my school, just BRAMPTON in general.

You should probably expect a lot of halo talk over the next MONTH...

Even the preps buy the game. You know, all the people that run around in khaki pants and play every sport known to man, and their stupid as hell.

I'm a Computer Science major, so of course a lot of the people around me are interested in the game. They sure as Hell are for Halo 3.

Come to think of it, Wii's pretty big here in general. Every little party event has one; there are two of them in our game-room, and there are probably plenty scattered around all the dorms and everything.

Actually, yesterday at one of the night-time events I saw people playing Smash Bros. 64 off of a projector screen. Interesting. I wanted to join in, but it was dinnertime and I was hungry.

Smash Brawl will be pretty big here, though. Maybe bigger than Halo 3 and any other multiplayer game of the sort, not just because it's Smash in general and everyone's familiar with it, but that it's a Wii game and Wii is the only console of the big three you'll see outside of the dorms.

Hey... whats wrong with playing every sport known to man?

Friend has halo 3, single player is ****. Unless you think "omg its halo, it must be good", its halo 2 but shorter with sligh diffrences (just a note, ive been to mission 7(there are 8) but his disk screwed up and he trew away the receipt)

still, online is great, and thats why halo sells

I don't go to school with my friends.
But most of my friends want Brawl anyway.

We all support Nintendo to the max, and we only play Nintendo. (For the most part.)

A good 5-10 are wanting it at my college. We play Melee every school day for hours. It's usually always on. The only question is "Who is going to bring in their Wii to be abused?". Seriously, we have 4-5 broken gamecube controllers. I'm definitely not bringing in my Wii.

That's exactly like me! All of my friends are like, "SSBB will be awesome, so buy a Wii AND a 360!" , but I'm loyal to Nintendo.

That is why I refuse to bring my Wii to "Games Club" .

I'm afraid the challenged kids might damage it, let alone my friends when I own them.

That's SPAM if I ever saw it. I applaud that +1 on your post count.
Oh! And on top of spamming, you double posting when you could've edited that quote in there.
But still, you're a funny guy so it's all forgiven.

But really, by reading this thread...I see Brawl isn't as big as I thought it was.
It saddens me.

For me, not much. It's only a few of my friends that are interested. The Brawl hype isn't what some people think it is.

I know of one other person.

And he doesn't follow up with it because he doesn't have the internet. He didn't even know Snake was in the game, and didn't know about online until I told him. He just saw Brawl in a magazine, or at E3, I presume.

The guy's a major loser. He just sits in class and draws dragons all day...what a weirdo.

Yeah, if somebody draws dragons all day then he is definitely somebody who you try not to be affiliated with in the hallways, if you get what im saying.
