I did yesterday. 3 copies of Smash Brothers 3ds and 1 for the Wii U version.

Im not gonna pre-order till I have an official release date. Since the 3DS version is coming out first ill just be getting both versions. Already got Mario kart 8 reserved thats for sure.

Never pre-ordered a console game before because most of my towns stores have the game atleast 1-2 days before the release date anyway, but I might make an exception for SSB4 so I can whipe the dust of my 3DS finally.

I don't think I've ever pre-ordered any games; I just never saw the point of it, is it a USA thing? The EB Games near where I live is almost always pretty quiet. I remember showing up for my copy of Brawl and I was one of the first in the line... A small crowd of 5 people or so, and I showed up at 8:45 AM (opens at 9:00). Given that there are plenty of people who DL games (not my cup of tea, but meh) nowadays anyway, there isn't really as much of a risk of it selling out anyway unlike the days of the Wii, where everyone was forced to buy physicals.

I have trust issues with me and my cartridges. The Wii U one will be on there forever.

I'm actually waiting for a custom limited edition 3ds XL to be announced. If theres one I'll buy it + 2 copies of the game (that would make 3), else I'd buy 3 copies. Reasons? Playin with friends, etc.

Since Smash Bros is such a popular title im sure they will have some neat pre-order items. Probably even a limited edition with figures or special bonus content.

There's no actual release date for the Smash Bros. titles yet. You can't really pre-order a game during that time.

Some stores will let you. Gamestop probably. Heck, back in the day you could preorder anything! Like that Donkey Kong Racing game that was never released.

I'll eventually reserve both, but I'm moving in July, so I need a concrete release date before I know where to reserve the 3DS version. You can reserve games before they have a locked in date at Gamestop usually. I know I reserved Luigi's Mansion 2 Dark Moon when it had a tentative release frame, which ended up being nowhere close to the actual release.

I've never preordered a game in my entire life, and I never needed to.

I don't really mind getting them a couple of days late, and most stores I go to don't even usually get games right on release anyway.

(Don't blame me there's no real game stores near where I live and I don't trust UPS since they delayed my collector's edition of Infamous Second Son FOR NO REASON)

You can buy some of them. They're Figma figures.

As for preordering, I would pre-order the 3DS version if I was able to. But I didn't think you could at this point.

I'm waiting for the release date to be announced. I have a family reunion in July so I don't want to preorder if the release date coincides with the reunion.
