How long will it take me to put a custom character in Brawl, with his own model and moveset?

1. How hard is it?
2. Are there any long periods of coding or custom animation?
3. Can you speed up the process by copying moves from other characters?
4. How does that "If you hold B while performing this B move, it'll do something else, like how Donkey Kong's Down-Hold-B gives him a Barrel to throw" trick work?
5. If I wanted a move that works like Mr. Game And Watch's Oil Spill, but it also absorbs and multiplies physical attacks, would that work?

I don't know about a few questions but I know it would be hard....... and take time but you could reuse a few moves to save time. I dunno how would do the last 2 though........

1. Varies
2. Yes. If you intend to create (quality) custom animations, the process could last from hours to days.
3. Depends on the character, as each have different bonetypes, copying from the source is easiest, but {[quality > speed]}
4. There should be an "If" value to use. find out which one relates to button holding and work from there.
5. I do not know if Oil Panic is able to be replicated as of now; giving physical attacks "CanBeAbsorbed=1" via Special Offensive Collision will allow them to be absorbed like projectiles, however this means that you'll lack exclusivity. Game&Watch, Ness, and Lucas would also be able to absorb said physical attacks as well, which may be contrary to what you wanted.
