So how long do you think you will have the game till you decide to go online?

I'll prolly at least play through the story mode at least once and play with friends a few times before worrying about going online

unless maybe a special tourny goes on a few days after it comes out or the online play becomes better than it looks so far

knowing myself, heres how its going to happen:

i'm going to play free for all with cpu level 3 first just to get my old self back.

after about 10-15 minutes of playing with everyone, im gonna do adventure mode

i'll do adventure mode until I reach a point where Im tired/done for the day, then go online.

yep just like that. I dont even care about practicing yet. i want to see what everyone else can do so I can base my skills on that.

I'm not the type of person that thinks " omg I need to unlock eveyone and practice 50 hours before I go online!". nah its not that serious, yet.

it wont get too competitive until around atleast 2 weeks +

First thing I do: Try out every character in versus mode with my brother.

Second thing I do: Go Online
(just to see how it works)

Third: SSE

I'm probably going to:

Pick Samus and do a three CPU's vs one me match.

Pause the game.

Start fapping to Samus' new shiney armor.

Remember that I'm fapping to pixels and polygons.

Get disgusted at myself.

Finish a couple of matches with different CPUs.

Try a couple of other characters.

Go on the SSE.

???

PROFIT!

>_> I dunno when I'll go online though. Maybe the day after I get the game. Yeah, that sounds good.

Oh and, Tobi, that must've sucked HARD.

Well I'm participating in a day-after tournament, so the plan is to take monday off of school and play like crazy until I figure out who I should "main" for the tournament.

I'll probably go against friends pretty quickly - as soon as we're all comfortable with the controls and modified game physics and have a character we call our main - even if it's temporarily.

I probably won't go against anyone until I've unlocked everything. But by then, I bet most players will be ready to go friends-only and With Anyone will suck already.

Hmm... pretty good thread to think about. *Thumbs Up*

Actually, it might be on Day 1. Maybe three hours after I've messed with all of the starting characters. Mainly because I don't have any Smash friends, so Friend Coding with you guys and With Anyone will be my training.

I'm having a few friends over on release day, so I'll be in multiplayer for a while, or I might say eff that and just go to training mode(with Ike) and get a feel for the game, do SE and unlock everyone. I'll go online when I feel I'm ready though.

As soon as Brawl comes out, a friend of mine and myself are going to break out the snacks and do the entire SSE co-op. What's that you say? 10 hours to complete? Guess what? We're playing for 10 hours straight then.

Only after SSE is beaten in its entirety will I venture online.

Ok, haven't exactly thought too much about it. I'll tell you in order from getting it I guess.

I will:
Be excited about it all the day before and be shaking from the awesomeness and be loving the update even if it were less exciting. I'd have a smile engraved on my face. That night I'd be so excited that I wouldn't even sleep, I'd be more excited on that night than Christmas lol. (Well, maybe not more excited than christmas) I'd wake up saying, "Today's Brawl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and ask when we could go to get it. Unless it were on a Tuesday.

Go to where I'm gonna buy it and see if they have it and try until I find it. (If I can't find it then I'll try again the next day or something.) Then I'll stare at the box in the car until I stop crying, turn front to the back and cry a little more, then stop crying and look inside the box and stare at the top of the manual and squeal a little. I'd then look in the manual and study every picture to savor and possibly cry more. Then drive in the driveway and go inside to re-open the cover. Take out the disk and stare at it and go through the emotions.

1. I'm going to go into shock and almost pass out from excitement.
2. Snap myself out of it then cry tears of joy and squeal some more...
3. Slowly put the disk in like slow motion and turn on the Wii and cry some more.
4. Click on the disk channel screen and stare at the screen for an easter egg... Not really lol.
5. Click start and squeal the entire loading screen.

That's just the basic emotions lol. I look at the screen and go to the starting screen and start going mad with happiness about Sonic in Brawl and then take a step back and go to the phone and call my friend who's definitely getting Brawl. If I can reach him then I'd get him on Wi-fi and turn on a stock match and choose our favorite starting characters and just talk about how awesome the game is and pretty much hang out on the stages, not even doing a real match. Not until later. After that I'd get off and play SSE (If SSE is online co-op I'll play with friend) until crying is impossible to do because I've used all of the water in my eyes. I'll probably play SSE for a long long time until I get tired or I'm just told to get off and go to sleep. That night I'd be so excited that I'd dream Brawl.

I'll just beat the entire Subspace Emissary thingy, then go online after I get all the characters I can get.

Most likely miss all of my classes on release day as me and my three friends battle it out testing out the characters we want to play.... Do some co-op through SSE.... unlock characters... practice some more... Wait until we get bored beating each other up... then pwn some n00bs online... Might take a couple of weeks though

Lately I've been debating with myself whether I want all the characters spoiled.

I planned to leave SWF on the *** Release Date...but now I'm not sure.
I think I'm going to be spoiled though.

I just decided in the middle of this post...so here it is:
I'm not going online until I unlock everyone, because I don't want to have a disadvantage against anyone.

I'm going until I unlock every possible character. I don't want to be surprised by some Internet leak.

3. Go Online

However... My internet doesnt want to work with my Wii (have a Wi-Fi stick and everything), it depends it i get the problem solved by then

That's pretty hard to decided. I might try and beat SE first, and unlock all the characters. I think it'll be hard for me to master just one character, since there'll be such a large collection, but I'm hoping I can get good with at least one before going online.

I'll try every character in practice mode, try to discover atleast one primitive form of a combo with each one, the one that I like I'll go online with AFTER I play through SSE once.

It was actually pretty thought-provoking.

Mainly for me because, like I said, I don't have any Smash friends. So I'm bound to go online. But you really want to go online right away with NO control of your character at all, or do you want to wait for a while and practice, then come back to it?

Eagerness shall get you embarrassed.

I'll probably want to play through the SE once first, as well as a bit of console multiplayer before and after. Once SE is done and I've played around with the characters a bit, I'll probably head online.

Not until I've unlocked everything.

Then I'll start using it to practice with Dedede.
