This should really go in Melee discussion.

Please no one say "if he doesn't wavedash he is a noob" because there are alot of good players who don't wavedash. If it was up to me I'd say a noob is someone who doesn't L-Cancel.

I have two different versions of the word. N00b and Newb.

A Newb is simply someone who's obviously just started playing. He/she realizes they aren't good enough to play veterans, yet, but are doing their best to learn and become better.

A N00b is someone who just simply sucks at the game and doesn't want to learn. Someone who has played the game for a long while, thinks they're the **** at this game, yet have no real skill to back it up.

I don't really call somone a n00b in that manner unless they're acting high and mighty when they're obviously not.

Well that pretty much wraps it all up.

As my title states, I am a noob :( And as a smash n00b, I can verify this.
