How good is the dog's movement?

So, from everything I've seen on Duck Hunt, the character is amazing, and I can't wait to play as them. I'm wondering, though, how is his movement, both on the ground and in the air? He seems to dash pretty quickly, but where does he rank compared to the other speedy fighters?

I've also heard that he can crawl. If so, is it any good? He seems pretty low to the ground already when dashing, so I don't know if he'd benefit as much from crawling as, say, Snake.

His run speed seems ok from my experience, but i've mostly been maining Mac so my view on run speed is probably warped lol. Not really sure about the air since I mostly play grounded with him. I haven't had a chance to mess with crouching. I'm hoping some of the lower crouches duck under things like they have in other games, because that was always a mechanic I enjoyed. ^_^
