Not very, use the c-stick.

Listen closely to the times you pull it off and remember the rhythym double-fairing makes. Just try to match that and you will begin sticking it more frequently.

I still don't see how using the C stick makes it any easier, it's farther away than the A button! =P

Just keep practicing it over and over whatever way is the most comfortable for you... It's pretty much muscle memory, and doesn't seem like anything "Fast" when you get used to it. Just try not too get frustrated while practicing, it's a difficult thing to learn!

c-stick is a bit more difficult but you can control your spacing better if you use the c-stick instead of forward-a

The most common method is to use A or Z for the first fair, then the c-stick for the second. C-stick is more effective if you plan on doing a different aerial (such as an uptilt if your too close to them). Try doing sh double lasers with fox, once you can do that double fairs shouldn't be a problem...

The one thing I don't like though, Is when I try to double fairs while jumping with the Ty button, I often hit A too fast and end up just missing the first fair heh. With X I never have that problem though.

It's easier to do Jump -> A for SH Double Fair but I find that using the C-stick is much more useful, mainly because it allows easier spacing. If you want to use the C-stick I suggest learning to short hop with the control stick because it's pretty hard to move your fingers from X/Y -> C-Stick that fast =P.

I still find it weird that peopie are uncomfortable with the c-stick. I use it for every aerial and most of the F-smashes I do because IMO it allows for better DI control than pressing A.
Oh and Elran, I use the c-stick for both Fairs but I guess that's harder for most people so just go with which ever method suits you.

The easiest way to actually do it is to short hop with the control stick and do both fairs with c stick. This however isnt very practical for most people to use in a match. this is just so you know what it "feels" like.

this may sound strange but the 1st fair has the same timing as a wavedash. you should fair as close to the exact frame after leaving the ground as possible.

the second fair is easy. just wait for the animation to end on the 1st one.

Ive read on a different double fair thread that learning how to do foxes SHDL makes double fair much easier since the timing of double fair is much slower.

I have problems doing Double Fairs too. I can do it in like 2/3 speed but even then is the second fair supposed to end a lot faster than the first because you're so close to the ground already?
