How far along do you think the game is?

As wellas sorting the game and bugs/music/whatever out, they need to think of advertising! Obviously magazines in japan and no doubt America will be saying stuff, but, solid promotion, posters in shops, TV ads (to think we'll be getting the first TV adds in the next month or so :D )

But yeah, I'd like to think of it nearly being finished. Real question is, presuming we dont find much/any information ont he 15th like Coro Coro states, whats the latest date people or Nintendo reckon they can reveal information to us :|

Many moths ago Hideo Kojima clearly stated that the game could be put on shelves imediately and it wouls still eb rgeat. I'm believeing that the game is pretty much done, only now they are completely optimizing the game, fixing all bugs, and perfecting the Online issues.

$50 says they finished the general stuff 5 to 8 months ago. They've been adding infinte replay value, extras, bigger roster, create-a-stage, trophies, online extras/options, more stickers, etc. and whatnot as of late, so the game is however far Sakurai wants it to be.

The game could have been out in the summer and still be a legendary game, but Sakurai wants perfection, and that is what we shall recieve. Depending on how great it is depends how far into development it is.

Yeah, considering they havent started to advertise the game means that they may not be ready to launch the title, and that there is the possibility it could be pushed back even further. I mean once a company starts advertising it is commited. But it may be too early anyhow. Even here in Japan. But when the time comes the commercials will be on like every five minutes. Just like the Wii Fit commercials they are now airing over here.
